I never would have expected a boat like that to be a planing hull, let alone able to go 30kn. Very impressive.

whats the one thing you look for in a boat planing video. A sequence of a boat planing through the water

43 gallons a hour would cost around £200 a hour to run here in the UK just now on our duty free red diesel price or around £365 a hour on the road diesel price.

Not bad considering the large payload at 30 knots

Always loved these Russian boats. What's Homer been like these days with the whole war and what not? ;)

That is not a step, Hull extension is a more appropriate term. Nice work.

Neat, think I'll keep my 40f with a 4/71 burning a gallon a hour at 6.5kn tho...

On step? It’s called on plane, and has been since 1950

I often say jets are only good for running the shallows beciof thier inefficiency but pushing heavy loads isn't too bad compared to a prop I would imagine.
@conanruisi2 ай бұрын
Jets are more efficient than props. Take two of the same boat with the same engine and everything, make one a jet drive and one a prop. The jet boat will go double the speed of the prop boat
@conanruisi2 ай бұрын
Props can’t put down power to the water as efficiently as jets can, that’s why it takes double the horsepower to make a prop boat go the same speed as a jet boat.

Ahahahahahaha I can’t stop laughing!! You boatbuilders are hilarious!!! That jetguard sticking out what looks like 4 feet is going to knock out of the net at least 25000lbs a season, probably more. All that 💰for a boat that is extremely handicapped when it comes to putting FISH in the boat! Buttya go fast though! Wheeeeeeee!
@Akwildman Жыл бұрын
Disagree!! I have one very similar and the fish slide right over!
@sailingthevic3966 Жыл бұрын
@@Akwildman keeeeeep telling yourself that! Mount a GoPro under there and see how fish get there noses caught on the underside of the bar and what that does. See all those fish in the catch basket?(assume you have web over jet guard) those are the ones you get to keep, an equal or larger amount are gone. Check your jetguard, see those grooves in the aluminum from lead line rubbing constantly? Like I said, a GoPro will provide a video that will give you stomach pains.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂False! you catch more fish in a season with a jet farmer.

You’re just mad you can’t afford this beast and catch 25k pounds in a season
@MiloWaltenbaugh3 ай бұрын
25,000 lbs??? Let’s say an average Bristol Bay salmon weighs 4 lbs. you are expecting over 6,000 individual fish to fall off a season?? Have you ever picked a fish out of a net? 90% of them are tight tight tight!! Otherwise people wouldn’t use fish picks. You probably use a bleeder stick and a fish slide too pal😢buddy does not get best fish

Why don't these fishing boats have the bulbous nose on them? Always wondered why they dont
@zynnotzen Жыл бұрын
because they plane at cruise speed so the bow isnt in the water much
