I also have the scale Polar Express. My consist, in order, is the Abandoned toy car, Coach car, Hot chocolate car, another Coach car, and finally the Observation car. I keep the number of cars to five because that is whats it is for most of the film However, on occasion in the film, it is seen with as little as three or as many as eleven and twenty. Also, I hope Lionel makes a more movie-accurate observation car. Merry Christmas to all.

The scale Polar Express looks fantastic on your layout I've been looking for one for years last I checked Ebay there are 3 of them that are for sale by three different sellers that all three sellers want almost $5,000 for them I don't know what they're smoking or what they're drinking but that's insane

I always thought the polar express was a squashed ( stubby toy version ) of the real steam train. This one here in this video is either a real close to scale version or it was one that you made up to look scale. Also appreciate the better sound effects on this one of the train engine, most of the modern steam and whistle sounds are like distant recordings of a real train so it sounds like it is coming from a recording and not from this train directly, However your's here was very direct sounding, nice. Because of that I favored the early MPC era train sounds over the modern ones... Even the MarX "sound of power" is good when working well.

Took me looking for a year to find one at a reasonable price for my mom. Unfortunately there is no box, only the styrofoam sleeve. I think there is more than one road number. I found road number 1225. If it is rereleased I will make sure to pick one up.

They’re pretty hard to find now as it’s been quite a while since Lionel made them. I think Lionel might make them again soon, so I would keep an eye on the upcoming 2024 catalogs

The train I got for Christmas is the same but H scale, too small, so I returned to find out the best size for my village. The people on the windows were not 3D like in this one on this video, it was like shadows on the windows. Does anybody now if that’s the difference between the scales H and O? Because I liked this one so much better!

All lion sheep sets should have the remote with them that is how they are sold and that includes the Polar Express that you bought the one in this video is the Lionel scale Polar Express

Uh-oh... Anyone know how to get back the sounds on this 2021 Lionchief Polar Express? The sounds worked for the last weekand up until last night. We simply turned it off after about 5 minutes and after showing it off to some visitors and now as of this morning, 12/18/2022, no more sounds and can't find anything on forums, Google or KZbin on how to attempt a fix for this. I've tried the Bluetooth app, replacing remote controls batteries, disconnecting the engine from the coal tenders connections with both power on and off. Still nothing. Anyone have any tips or tricks to correct this? Thanks in advance.

This one can only be found on the used market at this point. Asking prices are generally around 5,000..... so it's hard to find a good deal

The Polar Express is actually Pere Marquette 1225

Yes, but the model is a mix of both the Pere Marquette 1225 and the Polar Express. The whistle, like the one in the movie, is not from Pere Marquette 1225 but from Sierra Railroad #3 used in Back To The Future Part III. The crew talk sounds are from the movie, it has 'Polar Express' on the tender, and it has the distinct cowcatcher/snowplow. The rest of the model is based on Pere Marquette 1225 though
