She may seem kind of cold and emotionless to a lot of people, but she is extremely dedicated to and cares a lot about social justice and poverty. She frequently goes to third world countries and helps train doctors there. When I was 14 we celebrated her birthday in Bangladesh because she was helping treat Rohingya refugees. If you get to know INTJs, their dedication to ethical issues is just as strong as that of people with Fi higher up.

I’m an INTJ female. I watched Wednesday with my husband and within the first 15 minutes of episode 1 I told my husband that we were watching me as a teenager. I wasn’t so goth, but everything else was spot on. She did a great job!

As an INFJ I see things from me in Jenna. Being more private but knowing how to read people or get the meaning of things. The only difference is that as you said, she doesn't care to much to please people which is something I do all the time. I don't say I'm more fake as a person. It is just that I care about other feelings and what they think about me which is nice but can be tiring.

all the INFJs I know, I had typed them as ENTJ for how relentlessly they pushed themselves and willingly took charge of teams and saw things finish off to a deadline. Just the kind of efficiency that leaves me (ENFP) in awe. Imagine to my surprise, when asked about mbti, they both were INFJs. It made sense, they were a lot more considerate of the team and their emotional limits than the one ENTJ person I do know.

I thrive on small groups, I can be funny and sound confident talking about things I know but I'm not that socially open specially with big crows and I have to recharge, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy company or I don't recharge with people I trust.

Yooo I definitely felt you on the people pleasing. It feels like a 9-5 job and your mind convinces you that that’s what you have to do for them to stick around. But when you’re all alone, you feel more at ease because there’s no one that you have to please. Its such a weird thing but I do agree that it is very tiring and a lot of people tell you to just stop doing it but it’s not that easy. I feel like it’s a mind game more than anything. Lack of confidence mixed with overthinking and anxiety maybe. Also depends on the comfortability levels you have with the person because there are some friends that I feel I don’t have to people please with because I’ve already broken that barrier and fear of them still accepting me when I have nothing to offer and accepting me and all my flaws. But with some friends it’s hard to tell if they’ll do the same, so you go the extra mile and do things that you probably don’t want to do just to please them. And the sad part is that a lot of them know that you have a hard time saying no or standing up for yourself and take advantage of it and ask you for stuff or favors that they would never even do for you just for the simple fact that they observed you and see that you value the relationship on a whole other level that you’re willing to people please and you know they’re taking advantage of you but because of a lack of confidence and not being really confrontational you just let it happen to you but we always know when someone is taking advantage of us. A lot of people think just because you’re a people pleaser it automatically means you’re stupid but that’s far from wrong. We’re extremely observant and smart! Just not as confrontational and confident

Personality database gets many things wrong, one of the things I notice is vocal patterns, and Jenna's very matter of fact way of speaking is very Te, ESTJs are similar. I think you know with Fi/Ne there are a lot of personal values and outside influences that interrupt your thoughts constantly, and that shows up in speech. Keanu Reeves talks like an INFP, Timmy Chalamet talks like an INFP.

Yes, we know the difference between introvert and extrovert. But social extroversion/introversion does NOT necessarily equate with cognitive extroversion/introversion. She can be cognitively extroverted (with extroverted thinking as her main function, as Te is the leading function of an ENTJ) while being socially introverted. ENTJs can have a tendency to be introverted because of their secondary function, which is Ni (introverted iNtuition). MBTI is actually composed of cognitive functions, and it's the right way to type people. It's not just about being socially introverted or extroverted. You can be socially extroverted while being an INFJ, and be socially introverted while having ENFP as your type! In fact, you can be an introvert or extrovert regardless of your type, because MBTI is just a way to find out how we perceive things and how we make decisions.

As an ENTJ I see myself so much in Jenna. I'm really direct and straightforward and always have to get some stuff to do and organize things. I feel a lot, I'm a hypersensitive person, but I don't show it as often as I want to protect myself. I'm really outgoing and adventurous and a risk taker. I know what I want in life and what I bring to the table. I know I have strong standards but we must to in order to be respected and be a high value person. I’m the same personality type and when I saw inerviews of her I was thinking ‘it’s like a mini me that I’m watching’. What did surprise me, this was an interview you didn’t cover where you visibly see her tear up discussing seeing kids dressed up as her latina princess thing she voiced for Disney and it caught me so off guard seeing her visibly express emotions with a live audience. Every artistic eccentric expressive person is immediately called an INFP/ISFP. Whatever personality she has, she has a LOT of it. My favourite thing about her is how unapologetic she is about being a fangirl and shipper. She'll make little theories as to what might happen in Season 2 of Wednesday, she'll call Gwendoline Christie her wife out of admiration, she'll openly say that she wants Wenclair to be canon instead of the whole love triangle thing (I second that!)... Most people would put that stuff on, like, a Tumblr blog. For Jenna, the world is her Tumblr blog and I consider her an absolute queen for that.

Half way through. As an INTJ, I'm guessing INTJ. Yes, we are weird but also listen and process things A LOT. We also hate inefficiency, and are very goal, problem solving oriented. I completely see this. I would go as far and say that her exceptional performance and stellar ability in bringing 'Wednesday' to life as she did facilitates a greater appreciation and good will (both conscious and unconscious) towards her from her fellow cast members. This is not to say that she is not well liked based upon her personality alone but a deep rooted respect has also been born based upon the sheer brilliance of her craft. From the cast interviews; behind the scenes footage etc, she does do a great job at forming, maintaining and flourishing in relationships with the cast. Irregardless of the popularity and attention that comes with playing the main role, she projects a genuine and unassuming "just one of the team" demeanours in her interactions behind the scenes and in interviews with other cast members. She then transitions seamlessly into a leader and a star when it's time to perform as Wednesday infront of the camera! Her rapport with Gwendoline (school principal) and Luis (Gomez) is particularly wholesome as is her chemistry with the young actress who plays Enid.

Yes! The king of analysis has returned! Ever since I binged Wednesday and ofc, are a giant MBTI nerd, I was like “oooh! I wonder what her personality type” is, so I tried thinking logically about it and the thing that really pointed to XXTX was her not being an emotional person and ENTJ makes a plethora of sense, especially based on her cognitive stack. 14:30 as an ENFP this is where my lack of Se comes into play. Do stunts sound super fun? Yes. I would actually love to do them, but I think my inferior Si would start jabbing at me about the risks of driving like a maniac and possibly dying. I would love to do cool acrobatic stuff (all I can do a backflip on a trampoline and it's still mildly scary every time I do it) but my lack of trust in my kinesthetic skills makes me fearful to try them without a LOT of preparation. I don't trust my low coordination to be capable of performing something dangerous without an injury. Then there's my ESFP friend who has literally climbed on the roof of my 3 story apartment complex with no problem 😅. I trust her to do stupid crap because I know she's capable of doing it without getting hurt.

The comparison between Jenna and Wednesday is really funny because that's exactly why I want my ENTJ friend to watch the show with me. While my friend is definitely not deadpan (she's very animated and it's really easy to make her laugh), the macabre, violent insults that Wednesday has sound EXACTLY like things my friend would (and frequently does) say. That confident demeanor and complete lack of Fe is very prevalent in my friend also. I'm an ENFP so I'm not super keen on changing my emotions for others either, but I'm willing to do so for the sake of keeping the peace, not inconveniencing people, or making a situation less awkward. However, I don't think my ENTJ friend really cares about this. While I admire her confidence, sometimes she will jokingly insult someone and not realize that she kinda overdid it and I'm left there awkwardly smiling hoping the person doesn't take what she said seriously 😬😂 I've had to explain to my ISFP brother a few times that my ENTJ friend doesn't actually hate him and it's just a joke She's great though, I'm sure she will probably have some constructive criticism of the plot but I know for a fact she will like this portrayal of Wednesday.

I'm INFJ...I have an INTJ daughter and my INTJ daughter could definitely relate to the Wednesday character which seems like a good representation of INTJ....I watched a lot of interviews with Jenna after watching Wednesday....I don't feel conviction on her type but she seemed a bit NTJish in interviews....this is a good analysis ruling out possible types by cognitive functions cross checks which almost convinces me...I notice if I have trouble determining if someone is an intuitive or sensor that is an indication of possible extroverted intuitive because the extroverted intuitives sort of straddle the worlds between introverted intuitives and sensors.....they are more sensory than introverted intuitives but they are more intuitive than sensors.....her being in a TeSe loop as a possible ENTJ would explain why she seems so sensory that you almost rule her out as an intuitive....ENTJ being the rarest personality in the world along with INFJ would also make it challenging to type her since there aren't enough real ENTJ people in public eye to recognize and analyze and compare with.....she does definitely seem more Fi inferior than Se inferior......I'm convinced Conor McGregor is ENTJ who also has a strong TeSe loop and he also gets mistyped as ESTP strong Se user because the tertiary Se is so strong people mistake them for Se doms....

I'm an INTJ and I relate to her personality to a certain extent. Though I'm less focused on the physical experiences like she is. Makes sense, since she has a tertiary Se and I have an inferior Se. Also, I think i'm more in tune with my emotions. But I get her overall vibe if that makes sense. So, her being an entj sounds logical to me. Finally someone who actually types her in a way that is reasonable. (I've seen a video about gwendoline christie being an ESTP which I totally disagree with. The typing in the video was totally off and no research went into it, so thank you for putting sm effort into this one)

I am so glad old KZbin did not give up on me though and kept shoving your channel in front of my face. I get it now, you are using these examples as a vehicle to describe the personality types. This is exactly what I want to see, real concrete examples showing why ppl are the way they are. This is so good and enlightening about more introverted entj v intj. I was going along with intj fully except the reference to her playing soccer and doing another physical activity when she was young. I know intj can do that but they are more slothful in sensory pursuits and being active physically seems like it would come later in adulthood when they realize they need to interject more active sensory experiences into their lives. And they are very Fi, most I know anyway.

Factor in how we Latinas may value a different way of expressing our emotions. The stereotype is a Latina being emotionally crazy and sensual all the time, when in my experience we're actually very low key most of the time, reserving the passion for when a situation demands action.

True, but Jenna is also a fifth generation American. Even if she is Latina, her roots in this country 🇺🇸 date back at least a century. In her case, like in many cases of Americans with 5+ generations of lineage in this country, there is a strongly noticeable amount of anglicization to her self-expression and body language. Latin@s are generally warmer and more expressive, on average.

Her saying "i have stuff i need to do, water i need to drink, a face to wash, so ill probably get to that" was not about her being unbothered, but rather about her not knowing what to do during the stream anymore; she wasn't interested in those repeated questions that kept popping up. She's actually very similar to my sister, both have very similar behavior, down to the way they speak, and don't be mistaken, they are not detached, they can have strong bonds especially with family and people they care about, it's just that they are very private and don't show this out in the open. My sister is sometimes puzzle box even to me, despite being my sister whom I love dearly. It's very hard to pull them out of their shell sometimes and see real them. I am not sure how many siblings Jenna has, but considering she's Latina, safe to assume couple, this might be "mid child" syndrome, because my sister is middle child and she always grew up in our shadows, because she was neither youngest, only boy, golden child, etc, she was just "out there".

How come ESFP is out of the question when the clips provided demonstrate she uses a Se filtered Te to get her points across? She prefers talking about the external sources of her efficiency rather than the other way around through explaining efficiency, then tying it into her external world. Having a low Fi usage doesn’t directly stray away from ESFP, since Se also filters Fi, making it more convoluted than it would be in say a Fi-dom type, and, as an extroverted dominant personality type, its easy for them to fall into utilizing their extroverted functions more than their internal worlds; Se-Te > Te-Se. She loves to work, but her work is an insanely creative-driven environment where there isn’t much structure unless she’s working with a strict group. Which isn’t often the case, as she's mentioned in interviews for wednesday that she enjoys being able to play around with her roles and get involved with the people working on the project (i.e. the writers). That could be where her Fi is bouncing off her Se-Te in enjoying a creative space to express self. My point being, if it's possible for her to be an ENTJ with a low Ni auxiliary function usage, why is ESFP with a lower Fi auxiliary function out of consideration? Especially since it seems she uses Fi > Ni and ISFP has too low of Te to be probable for her. Regardless, this is more-so her public personality rather than who she actually is, so it's not that serious. I'm just curious.

Great question and really nicely written out! Thanks for writing! It was definitely considered because I was sure that she does use those four functions but it was tricky sorting out which order. The main reasons that made me feel like she was an ENTJ not ESFP were: 1) how she doesn’t talk about herself or from her personal pov naturally (👈big one) 2) very little personal feelings, talks about not feeling comfortable with her feelings or talking about them - it’s true Fi aux can sometimes push down their feelings, but not as much as Jenna actually seemed to enjoy doing as her default. 3) very controlled, didn’t really see many strong examples of ExxP spontaneity or openness but more intensity and work/results focus coming out in an ENTJ way - I know lots of ESFP’s that are Te and value their work but it doesn’t usually come out or express itself the way it did with Jenna 4) comfortably talks about herself in a very detached outside observer way that ENTJ’s can do - talking about herself like a machine that she can use and push on to accomplish things with is very ENTJ… 5) very clear examples of her describing Fi inferior problems at the very end of my video - which fit together with all the other things I described whereas I didn’t see any examples of Ni inferior like problems. (👈🏻One of the biggest reasons) Understanding more of the nuances of how the functions play off each other and work together differently for each type really helps split the hairs for these trickier cases - in particular looking around for and listening for their inferior function problems is often very helpful to confirm things after you’ve gathered a lot of patterns. It’s often a pretty distinct signal if you’re lucky enough to hear them talk about it or find the right question for them. Hope that helps! Thanks for asking the question! There’s always a lot of my thought process and findings I have to simplify in my videos for time.

@@EricWen You’re right, yes, your video and research did an excellent job at explaining the individual functions. Though I’m not exactly sold on the reasons for inferior Fi. As you mentioned, impactful reasoning relies on her inferior function to truly determine what her type would be! I’m more skeptical about it because of how differently she presented herself and explained her thought process / motivations in older interviews that were published less than five years ago. With the reasoning for inferior Fi, such as a lack of emotional expression or her being uncomfortable with talking about emotion. These could be because cameras are being pointed at her. Considering she places great emphasis on her work and that she’s a young actress who became drastically more famous seemingly overnight; she could be playing it safe as the lead actress for ‘Wednesday’ so that her personal image doesn’t negatively affect how successful the show would be. Which can be interchangeably Se-Te / Te-Se since its both cognitively using effective methods and yet also being conscious of how one fits in the external world. We would have to take a close look at where her mind goes to first. This could also explain why there’s a lack of spontaneity or openness since she’s being self-preservative. I wouldn’t take it out of consideration that the people who have typed her an Fi dom on Personality Database could all possibly be completely wrong in their judgement; though I haven’t looked into her enough, nor is there much on her to determine where they’re seeing a higher use of Fi than Te. So I’m toying with the idea. The issue here is simply missing information. Would you ever consider making videos where you go back to check if your typing was correct for younger/new celebrities? That would be helpful to watch when it comes to arguments similar these. It demonstrates how your argument still stands or could have been false while using new evidence of the individual as they have become more comfortable being in the spotlight and how they’ve opened up through the years.

Tbh, this "16 personalities" to me at least, seems a lot like a better and more detailed version of the horoscope thing. And I'm just speaking from a regular Joe who only uses the test in the 16personalities website (cause the rest of the personality test stuff online wants you to pay to get results),but honestly the whole description that I've read on the personalities applies to me, excluding the introvert and extrovert stuff aside, and I test this on my siblings and friends where I made them do the test but I'm the one holding the phone, so when they get their result I'll read them a personality other than their result and they would be like "yeah oh my god that's accurate" when that's not even their result. So the things and description in the 16personalities websites are just Barnum effects imo just like horoscopes is. I don't know about other personality test that ask you to pay for results,maybe theirs would be more accurate and less of a Barnum effect, but the results and description in the 16 personalities website is just describing everybody. I agree that she’s Ni/Se, but you might have been too quick to say Fi/Te because she’s stoic and detached. But INFJs can have a similar deadpan intensity but it doesn’t last. It’s difficult to see either extroverted or introverted feeling. But she also seems very aware of the spotlight. She’s very tense at the start of interviews and really focused in on the other people’s reactions, like she’s looking to them for what she can share… I’d say she definitely has a thinking lead with Ni/Se 2nd and 3rd. With feeling 4th and Ni in the stack, it’s more difficult to tell if she has Ti or Te. Her intensity just seems like the Ti and Ni combination. So I’m leaning more towards ISTP. I’d like to see her more relaxed and candid, when she isn’t “on”, to rule out either ISTP or ENTJ
