Erie Canal Lock 28B

Erie Canal/NY State Barge Canal lock 28B on a beautiful Thursday early in the season. Unfortunately, no boats.
The abandoned railroad bridge is the old Sodus Point and Southern Railroad line, which was acquired by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1884 and was known as the Elmira branch. The branch closed Dec 11, 1967. The lock has a 12 foot lift
