Erie could not afford new light weight passenger cars so the Erie Limited cars were modernized and re-painted green and cream, new diesels were bought!!!

The Pennsy had a massive elevation program to eliminate grade crossings with rival railroads and cut down on wrecks!!

This sight is now the Newport Mall and there is no trace of the terminal execpt for the PATH station
