Many people are really missing the point that last 2 years with ten Hag have been real learning experience, where a great relation between ten Hag and younger players have developed, he has profiled a lot of youngsters like he did in Ajax, and has also went further in his relationship with the club with the massive problems he handled internally. Changing the manager now will drop the journey back to square one, the progression of understanding how Mainoo, Garnacho, Wheatley, and many youngsters in the youth team, all that development will be set back, right now INEOS has perfect manager in terms of long term squqd building from the academy, someone who is actually experienced at building squad from academy. They should utilize his services wile they themselves build their backroom with Ashworth and Wilcox instead if going for an inexperienced coach they think they are bringing just because they're assuming that newbie coach will be easy to control, Wilcox-Ashworth-Berrada should eat some humble pie and work with an experienced coach like ten Hag in the beginning.

He is good, what many don't understand is since he started playing in his right position he showed his talent. Yet he played everywhere but there. He is a better partner for Mainoe than Casimero. Who is slower and cant close down as he does allows Mainoe to carry the ball up. With him there Mainoe becomes the holding midfielder much needed to close the gap. This created an overload and City kept losing the ball in the middle of the park. Again he is no utility player for me. Show me someone better for the price?

Jose, ole, rangnick they all looked desperate and burned out by the end that sack as invetable. Eth looks he is ready to fight if they let him. Martinez looks ready to die for eth. Bruno wants to continue this trophy hauls. Eth asking kobbie and garnacho to rememeber this feeling after the game, just icing on the cake.. Obviously, mistakes were there from the manager, but he still fights. Onana kept his hands behind his back when Foden wanted him to hurry up by giving him the ball. How McTominay, while walking off after being subbed, kicked a ball onto the field forcing Ortega to waste a few more precious seconds. The biggest difference between this performance and the previously bad ones is the decision making. Tactics mean nothing when your players consistently make poor and wasteful decisions in possession, but this was the first time in a while that I've seen MU players actually playing smart. Whether it's the switches of play, simple feints to create space, positioning of runs, or the ambition to thread the ball forward, there were very very few instances of MU players making careless errors whilst City made some major errors in possession including the first goal.

My fellow African friend and brother, it's always a pleasure watching your whenever I can. I totally agree with your analysis. I really appreciate your passion and support for the Club. I too have been supporting Manchester United for well over two decades and can say a lot about the Club. I will however want to say few things about the victory over the best team in English Football presently (City) and Erik Ten Hag: * I think Ten Hag got his selection and tactics spot on. It was even more impressive that despite hearing media reports that he's going to be sacked after the game, he still pulled off a victory. Hearing such negative information just 24 hours to a crucial game was so unfair to Ten Hag. * As you rightly said, Jim Radcliffe and INEOS had to ban some Journalists from attending Ten Hag's Press Conferences due to false reports they were making. This is in my personal opinion why the English Press have been making negative reports about Ten Hag just to get him sacked! * Ten Hag has a had to cope with over 60 different injury cases in a season. I've never seen a season like this! He lost his key players to injuries for very long periods which definitely affected the team. I think the Medical Department should be overhauled because they assured him that both Shaw and Malacia would be back in January and only Shaw returned and then got injured again till end of the season. This meant he had a squad with no recognized left back for long periods of the season. * Whenever Ten Hag had his key players fit the team got good results. In his first season at United, will a fully fit squad, he finished third, won the Carabao Cup and got to the FA Cup Final. The moment the likes of Martinez and Varane including Shaw got injuries, the team couldn't play out from the back. The other central defenders in particular simply couldn't do it. * The injuries to key players deprived Ten Hag of execution of his style of play. That's why United lost so many games they would have won IF Ten Hag had his key players fit and available. * With his key players fit against City, the whole world saw a different Manchester United team to the ones during the just concluded season. The team was efficient with the ball and took their chances well while setting themselves up well defensively. Infact, if Onana had not made that mistake leading to Doku scoring a consolation goal, it would have ended 2-0 in favour of United. * In my personal opinion, I think Ten Hag deserves to be given more time while the structure of the "behind the scenes officials" should be put in place to enhance improved recruitment decisions to support the Ten Hag. * People say some of his signings hasn't worked. Yes I agree with them BUT even the best Managers don't get all their signings right. Sir Alex Ferguson signed players like Djemba-Djemba, Nick Powell, Kleberson, Phil Jones, Bebe just to mention a few which turned out to be flops. Ferguson still went on to be one of the best Managers in Football history. * Can anyone remember that in Arteta's first three consecutive seasons he finished 8th, 8th and 5th before he started challenging for the EPL Title with City. Arsenal are reaping the dividends of giving Arteta time to build a very good team. Ten Hag deserves that time too. He said that United needs to sign players in the summer transfer window that will improve the team and always be available (mostly injury free players) so as to get positive results. * Rome wasn't built in one day! Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp didn't get 2 Cups in 2 years just like that. Ten Hag did it despite the plethora of injuries to his players. Besides, Guardiola and Klopp have had a better "behind the scenes" structure backing them while Jim Radcliffe and INEOS are just beginning to create the right Footballing structure at United. I've said a lot already. Ten Hag deserves at least another year. If Jim Radcliffe and INEOS decide to replace him, they MUST bring in a Manager that will be better than him. First of all: GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED! Then, amazing video. Just a little note on Mainoo's goal. If you notice, from 7:03 to 7:08, Bruno looks towards his left and sees Kobbie is there. Just after noticing it he asks for the ball to Garnacho because his mind was already there, with the ball to Mainoo just to be pushed behind their gk. Of course I also thought he was about to shoot, but he already had his masterpiece pass in mind. Anyway, credit to Rashford for the long ball, at 6:57 because Bruno lowered his hand asking him not to shoot long, but Rashford did it nonetheless. 😅 The rest of the action is history. Credit to Ten Hag for the great tactics and their pass mistakes. Everybody except for KDB. KDB missing passes is normal. He made 28 pass mistakes in a single world cup game passing the previous record of 27, hold by... Kevin De Bruyne. He failed so many finals, look at his record in finals and elimination games. Gündogan and other good players helped City more than him in the last years. I'm not saying he's not good, but he's lazy and has a weak mentality. Even with Madrid he scored a tap-in and missed a great opportunity just to be sub minutes later. He has so much talent and so small mind prowess. Mainoo at 19 is better than him at 19. PS: Martinez is amazing.

Even as a Liverpool fan, I was solidly behind Man United in that game. I was positively shocked. I expected y'all to be demolished. If I've learned anything this season, it is that 10 Hag is a great tactician who can spring surprises on any strong opponent. We experienced it both away last season and in all our encounters this season. The man has won a trophy in all of his seasons at United. Keep him. These players are hungry and can be a force to recogn with next season.

Singaporean here who has to wake up at 3am ! Totally agree with you. Amidst the falling we are actually seeing the forming of class 04 so I feel it’s not an entirely bad season, we are in the midst of growing and I believe Ten Hag still has work to do here. Furthermore if they want to replace him with some recognised managers I have less point to argue; but to replace him with managers who aren’t proven ?? Or from Championship?? And not even champion there by the way, what’s the point?? Don’t humiliate our manager !
