Thanks for your reaction to JO1. They are actually a rookie and had their 1st debut anniversary in March. Before their debut, most of them were just ordinary people like us without any professional training as the group is formed under the winning candidate from the survival audition program "Produce 101 Japan". Under other groups formed the Produce series in Korea (like i.o.i , WannaOne or IZ*ONE) were temporary group, JO1 is a permanent one, and they are signed under an agency 70% from CJ E&M (KR) and 30% Yoshimoto (JP). Therefore they got the music and chereo from Korean side and entertainment management from Japanese side forming a JK-pop hybrid. If you want to dig deeper on the members, I would recommend you to find a clip from youtube called "Turning Fruits unto JAMs". This is an unofficial "official" guide of them highlighting their personalities. Hope you enjoy more on these kids and become a JAM (their fandom name, which means JO1 And Me) soon.
