I'm aware this is a reductionist approach to Sungura but I love it all the same. You're a legend!

Just as @Eirik mentioned Sungura is also changing with time "reductionist" could be an understatement. Guess it's the technical part of our music which no one has tried to breakdown for us.

The sungura rhythm guitars turned out to be good to the ear. I don't know why I was expecting you to use bus sends in your setup. You kept it simple and I must say it sounds good Eirik. I am following with a keen interest. Are you gonna take it up to mixing?

You asked what characterises Sungura. My answer is that it sounds quite like other, existing Sungura, which in turn sounded like other, existing Sungura, and so on back to the mbira groups. Not a very useful description! Someone, Andy Kershaw, I think, used the term "egg-slicer" guitar sound! (Do you have egg-slicers in Norway, with their very thin, very taught wires?) What you also need is the singing, not just the lead, but the harmonies too.
