To my understanding he isn't performing well as a hitter but since he still has defensive value then they play him defensively

There are better OH than him in the line up that's why he's not in the first six. If you really watch their games in the italian league, their open hitters are really better than him.

#15 (JPN)’s last name Lee is correct. His parents are Chinese but moved to Japan and Lee grew up in Japan. He is a Japanese citizen but obviously his parents’ last name is Chinese last name which is LEE. I believe his mother was a setter fo Chinese national volleyball team back in the day with legendary Lang Ping😊 We love Lee🏐👏🏻 I have a question😊 as a player do you prefer to travel around for VNL or rather stay in one location like last year? Or maybe don’t have a strong preference? It seems so tough to travel that much and play.

I believe back in 2019 the roster said Ri because that's how Japanese people pronounce it ( idk if he's been called this for a while now??) and then ppl just kept calling him that but it is Lee and I believe it has been corrected by now

there isnt an L or an R in japanese their sound is somewhere in the middle so it is acceptable to spell it either way

I'm a female lib who plays on a men's team so I definitely know what you mean. What helped me (and could possibly help you) was having some of my guys hit at me while just standing, and peppering with them to get more comfortable with harder hits. It also might help to start playing defense in middle back so you have a just little bit more time to react.

It's still on, but Russian teams can't join foreign tournaments like those of the CEV due to sanctions imposed by the FIVB. So for example in the CEV Champions League Men's quarterfinals, Dinamo Moscow had to default all of their matches vs Zaksa as they can't compete. And the FIVB has stripped Russia of the rights to host the men's world championships that's supposed to happen later this year.
