Erik - can you do a video about your journey to become a world class player? It would inspire and be a good example for young volleyball players who want to get better and get to the next level. Or advice to parents who have young kids in volleyball? I'm assuming your environment like growing up in the gym or going to Punahou/Iolani or even having an sibling and being competitive with him (e.g. heard the story of how you guys used to play volleyball with a balloon in the house as little kids) contributed to your world-class talent. Thanks.

I always liked seeing your parents come out to support you and Kawika when the National team would play at the Pyramid in Long Beach and I'd say "Hi Coach!" Your dad is a legend!

your dad is actually one of the main reasons i wanted to play at UH for volleyball! absolutely loved watching those girls (the men, also) play a couple years back before he retired. i’ve always dreamed about going to UH, but now that i’m not in volleyball anymore, i don’t think i’ll be able to. so glad to see you guys together, love your whole fam 🤍

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this video. I remember watching that 2005 Punahou vs. Iolani game state championship game and it was amazing!!! If I remember correctly, it was in the Stan Sheriff Center, but we watched it live on K-5, the Home Team 😂 I was a volleyball player for the other ILH school on the “hill” so we knew who you all were. One of the biggest mysteries we were all wondering is why did you and Kawika go to different schools?
