I know McCann was a hype job, but still that level of domination by Blanchfield was impressive. The transitions from takedown to crucifix to kimura to the second kimura were slick. She's a split decision loss away from undefeated and that one split decision loss was back when she was only 19 years old. In a year or so this young woman might give Valentina a serious problem. The UFC has a potential superstar here. Hopefully they start promoting her accordingly.

This chick was so composed in her fight, it was scary. She was always thinking in there, always aware of her positioning, how to keep the position, blocking escape routes, setting up her opponents movements INTO another favorable position for her. Just wow.

Her other performances were nowhere near as dominant as her last one. I think that says more about Molly's lack of skill than Erin's superhuman abilities. It's good she's taking it slow and steady. I have to admit, I watch a lot of UFC, but not too many women’s fights. I wanted to see this fight because I had seen Molly before and wasn’t sure why she was an underdog this time. And I was so freaking impressed with Erin, oh my God! I will make it a point to watch each of her future fights, this girl’s got a lot of talent! And for 24 years of age, her skills are very ripe. If she doesn’t lose her way somehow, she will surely become champion one day.

Dear Friends, I read some comments here that relate her to a possible challenger for the title, so let's take it easy, because: 1st) The athletes she took none have the pedigree of the top5 in the category today; 2nd) Let's remember that Molly is good at striking, but easily knocked down as we saw against Taila Santos, Lara Procópio and Gillian Robertson; 3rd) Erin had a hard time standing up when she was thwarted in her takedown attempts against J.J.Aldrich; 4th) Erin probably doesn't have the agility to dodge the quick blows that Valentina delivers; 5th) Erin doesn't have a body frame like Santos, who is probably a 135 lbs fighting at 125, to face Valentina in the hand-to-hand fight; And finally, we will only know what Erin is made of, as soon as she progresses against greater challenges in the category, because so far her game has been matched against all that she has faced so far.
