A couple of years ago I added a 15 minute “ just do it “ area to my daily layout. It has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for getting things done. Even for big projects it’s helped me get in there and just do SOMETHING for 15 minutes instead of procrastinating or overthinking it. Once I get started I’m usually motivated to keep momentum. Even if daily doesn’t work for everyone, I highly recommend adding this in a couple of days a week.

I love this idea so much! Thank you for sharing it. I have a 10 minute tidy in the evening that sort of acts like this but with chore type stuff. I think adding your "just do it" time in after lunch might be just what I need for other little tasks.

@@KristanKremer yay! I hope it works for you, it’s been great for me. And I like having a 10 minute tidy sesh in the evening.

I love your discussion about realizing how long a dreaded task actually took, 10 min, and trying to remember that!

I'm trying hard to remember to set a stopwatch for stuff because I really think it will help me learn that this stuff isn't worth the energy it takes to dread it and procrastinate it. Thank you for watching!

My husband gifted me A Clever Fox Planner because he knew I wouldn't ever get it for myself. I love it! Since getting into I've also gotten into meal planning and exercise planning, on a more detailed way. You've given me the great idea to use my old undated Amazon weekly planner to get detailed about those things. Thank you!

I do the same exact thing with any particular dreaded task. And then it only takes 5-10 mins tops to do it, especially if I can make the time to do whatever it is daily, it usually will take 3-5 mins tops, like wiping countertops. It’s not required every single day but if I do it every single day, it’s that much easier and quicker.

I wish I could just inherently know something isn't going to take that long so my brain could stop internally freaking out about it and just do it 🤣

8:28 I love the pink sticker with flowers on it. Who makes that?

That is a sticky note from a super old Erin Condren snap in set with the eucalyptus design on it.
