Having a supportive partner makes a hell of a difference too! I love that for yall. I’ve been vlogging for a while and still to this day I feel very awkward in public. Thanks for the tips💚

I finally got the courage to start a vlog channel. I am so thankful that I found your video with these helpful tips. It really makes me feel more at ease with recording in public.

The first tip is golden - so important to reframe the mindset ✨

I highly recommend reading the room before vlogging. It's essential to be mindful and considerate of privacy concerns, respect others' personal space, and be sensitive to the comfort levels of those nearby. It's better to check the surroundings first and ensure that no one would be inadvertently involved in your video.

The last tip is sooo true, one time I recorded in the gym and I just had to act like I was supposed to be recording and yall I promise if you look like you’re supposed to doing nobody will pay you attention 😂 I was nervous doing it but I just had to act like it was normal to do it and everyone was fine about and I was also careful to just have me in the clips. Great video and tips Erin!
@luluilimoon10 ай бұрын
The last tip was sooo on point, because at least for me the biggest problem is how to show up in public recording what I'm doing. It sounds so uncomfortable so the last tip about it just to "fake it till you make it" resonated to me a lot. The video as a whole was informative, Thank you so much, Erin

I used to be a HUGE introvert. I’m still introverted in some ways. However…..this year has been off to a GREAT start. I’ve been doing parts work and really been putting myself out there!!! I used to cringe at the sound of my voice. But now I can listen to my voice when I send audio messages….I can’t wait for my continuous growth! It’s so exciting and scary at the same time. 🥹

Cute video topic! Thanks for the tips! I’m still too scary to use my tripod and light in public but my introvert tip is just use your phone posted up on something and do the timer for some quick content on the go and my food content. People still look anyways. 😂😂😂

(The thumbnail and point number one) People will look, but it seems to me that by now, society should have LOOOOOONG been used to people vlogging, because it isn't a new thing anymore. Many people vlog. Many people take selfies. We all know what a cell phone is. Most people know that it switched from "blog" in newspapers to "vlog" on a website. Etc. I remember when the cell phone first came out, and it was awkward, cause people thought the person on the phone was talking to themselves, come to find they were on the phone. Which was understandable at the time. But as society got used to it, I thought for sure that people wouldn't STILL look in a way where it's awkward, except for those specific scenarios you mentioned. Despite now almost being saturated with vlogging, I guess society never FULLY got used to it.

Honestly, I just learned not to care lol. It's becoming more and more common for people to be digitally documenting in some way, shape, form, or fashion! And I use my phone for all my filming, not a camera 🤳🏾 More discreet! P.S. Pro tip especially if it's an eatery, I very enthusiastically let them know that I'll take a few pics and tag the business on IG! Businesses LOVE some free press, especially these days💯☝🏾

Im planning on doing a test run in a busy city near me. lots of content creators live there as well as many tourists so I feel like i wont get as judged and it will be a good confidence booster.

I know once I get going it will be easier the more I do it, plus God's always with me so I know this is the next level He has me going to. I recorded my first video yesterday and I felt so much more uncomfortable than when I live-stream with a gimbal. Yet I was recording with my phone so it could have looked like I was video chatting with someone 😅. People looking in my direction made me uncomfortable but in reality they probably looked at me for 2 seconds and then started looking at something else. Recording in a big city like Paris I don’t really have a choice, I have to get comfortable with people watching 😅 but also I have to remember people don’t care, they’re busy with their own things. Once I thought of these things I were able to relax and film more confidently and more comfortably 🤗 good luck everyone and thanks for the video 👌🧁

when you set your phone up for a shot like getting in/out of the car, do you worry someone will steal the phone? I filmed a little test vlog and just leaving my phone & tripod a couple dozen feet away in a public park while I walked past made me nervous. Do you just get used to it and it's not a big deal?
@livebeyondthesurface173510 ай бұрын
