Eristics - how to win any argument? Episode 8 How to respond to generalisations of statements?

This episode is devoted to eristic generalisation, a ploy to draw wrong conclusions from single facts. You will learn two ways to defend against such a ploy: logical analysis and counter-example.
Logical analysis involves demonstrating the fallacies of a generalisation and challenging its plausibility.
Counter-example consists of giving an example that refutes the general claim.
