As a Somalian from where my memory started as a child i used to hear my parents as well as our adult neighbours talk emotionally about sufferings of the Eriterian people as they were listening radio Mogadishu news headlines. Infact it was during the early years of the seventies, i'm not quite sure but it was either 1973 or 74. I also remember that their facial expressions showed and filled with sorrow and sadness so it was from that point where the deep rooted sympathy and love of the Ereterians started to grow from the bottom of my heart till to this date

Tahaarka Huruuse, you Ogadenis will be "liberated" from Ethiopia if and only if Ethiopia gets in exchange of Ogaden rightfully the Afar territory of Djibouti which encompasses the Obock district and the Tadjourah district! And nothing less!

Yohannes IV of Tigray From encyclopedia Yohannes of Tigray was a sworn enemy of Emperor Tewodros II of Ethiopia, Yohaness gave logistical support to the British forces who arrived to defeat Emperor Tewodros in 1868. In gratitude, the British gave Yohannes of Tigray, a large number of modern firearms as they withdrew following their victory at Magdala. This helped him to control the province of Tigray. But, the SUDANESE slaughterd Yohaness in Metema & his head still remains in Sudan.

ZULU, You may have a very good point. But what you are missing is people are forced to take arms & fight back because the injustice they have to live with is unbearable.

Innovation does not come in the form of handouts. You try learn and experiment and we Eritreans have lots to learn. You only open your land to others on an equal footing. Look what china did. They shut down the land to the outside world until they were ready to export and build capacity. Some hardship is part of the investment for your future. You go ahead beg we prefer the hardship today for future prosperity. Hard work is an Eritrean trait. Against all the ODDS.

For good or bad we are in charge of our destiny. Lets assume Eritrea would comply with everything everything the world is asking us to implement. Do you honestly believe we would be in a better position? Look around you, all you see is hungry, AID dependent, corrupt governments. I know someone got you fooled to believe, once you give in and comply you get peace and prosperity. All you get is lose all you have and your ways and become unable, defeated, weak in every aspect.

@MrDanieleri FYI,,, Minilik has NEVER had nor has ever been to Eritrea, Therefore, Minilik can NOT buy or sell Eritrea. (Please, save us your fictions & preach at your own sermon). BTW: Did you know the FRENCH armed & helped Minilik to fight against the Italians & expand his conquest from Ankober (Shewa) to Tigray, Gonder, Wollo & Southern Ethiopia?
