Perfect for my tired afternoons. Mellow and a bit haunting.

The voice in the wilderness is of course John the Baptist, announcing the first coming of Jesus our Saviour. This is a beautifully expressive performance of Bloch's great meditative work, a worthy but distinctively different companion to "Schelomo".

False, Bloch was jewish, not christian, and the title has no biblical link
