I think Ernest could work as a Lucas Arts-style point-and-click adventure game where the player is Vern and they try to guide Ernest around. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I want to see it happen. You could have the plot be Rimshot being abducted by Dr. Otto and Ernest comes to Vern for help.

@@Sandlerverse not sure if anyone holds the rights currently to the character. If anyone it's the Cherry's and I REALLY don't think they would be over demanding to use it. At the very least The name and likeness for Jim Varney is open for fair use as he is deceased. If he were alive then they could get in trouble but that line is blurred between Jim and the character he is lost known for odds are you'd end up crossing the line into impingement into copyright ©️ material. Again I doubt if you approached Cherry about it and he/she (not knowing if John is still alive) knew you were taking it seriously then I'm sure w understanding could be reached as it keeps his creation alive in pip culture

The villain's name is probably directly ripped from Moloch, a Canaanite god featured in the Bible who demanded child sacrifices. Which is...pretty fitting.

For those who missed it: Moloch was the name of a Canaanite god that was mentioned a few times in the Bible. In Paradise Lost it's the name of the one of the fallen angel's greatest warriors. So yeah. The movie's not that subtle in its imagery. ;) EDIT: And he's still not as evil as that CGI ernest.

KZbin really need to make the Premiere videos look significantly different in the subscription list. I go through this wave of "oh cool I want to watch that I'll click on this and oh no I can't watch it it's a premiere I guess I can watch it later at some point". Like, I'm happy an episode is coming up but finding out by being briefly tricked into thinking there was a new episode now isn't the best way to deliver that info.

TheBombShhh yes it is, I thought I was the only one whoever caught that. I noticed it many years ago when I watched this movie. He is a really good actor. He was also in one of the Friday the 13th movies too. I forget the title but I think it was Friday the 13th new blood or something. Anyways it's the one where Tommy is sent to a place for troubled teens. Anyways he plays the part of the older brother of that young black kid. He gets killed in a porta potty LOL.

I'm dumbfounded that you guys didn't mention the blatantly obvious cardboard cutouts in the stadium during the big game. It was, in my opinion, one of the unintentional comedic hilights of the film. When my friends and I first rented this movie from the video store in DVD, it was scratched and skipped in the limo scene and during the big game scene. As a result, I only just saw the film in its entirety for the first time yesterday, when I saw it on Amazon. Let me tell you, without the runway scene, the throne intro to the big game, and the game itself, this movie is so confusing and boring. Personally, I'd put slam dunk in my top 3 Ernest movies, but I still haven't seen Christmas and it's been years since I've seen goes to camp, so take that with a grain of salt. Dunno if I'm looking forward to the next two, I don't remember a ton about them but I don't remember particularly enjoying them...
