Isn't Music Man still affiliated with Fender somehow?
@flyoverbassin89599 күн бұрын
@@destianpatrianagara1119 Leo Fender was involved in the Music Man company between Fender and G&L. Despite the fact that EBMM makes guitars and Fender sells strings, and they have no formal business relationship, I think that Fender and Ernie Ball's relationship is more symbiotic than that of other companies as a quirk of early electric guitar history.

I'm a huge fan of Cory Wong. I'd LOVE to know the real "behind the scenes" dialog that went into Cory having an Ernie Ball model. The rumor is that Fender lost John Mayer because he wanted some custom mods and they said no (John basically said the cool people left Fender and that was the reason he left). The result was Mayer teaming with PRS and making the Silver Sky, which has been a massive seller. But Fender makes Strats with two humbuckers, soooo...... why'd Corey want an Ernie Ball? Is it just that they make amazing instruments? I could see this model being better quality than what Fender puts out, so maybe that's it?
@User57186-y9 күн бұрын
Artists gets paid per unit, or whatever the agreement is in the contract. other companies want x name to help push their product and pay a premium for the privilege. Just look at how many guitars the slipknot guys have endorsed, there’s your answer. Money.
