Haven't heard of any ASMRtists having issues with copyright when reading books aloud, but older books out of copyright or your own writing would be a fantastic alternative. Personally I find Victorian era erotica particularly fascinating because it undermines the popular conception of people in that time period being straight-laced and sexually unimaginative. Would also love to see a video sharing your thoughts regarding healthy sexual and romantic relationships.

The writing was just so terrible - my ex partner and I read a few bits out loud and just giggled at how bad it was. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is a good erotic/fantasy/history novel. It's set in 1743 Scotland! There's about 8 or 9 books to the series now. I really enjoy the story - it really takes you away to another world. Hope you're doing well!

What I want out of an erotic novel is an inconspicuous cover, before anything else. You can't read obvious porn on the bus... I like Maya Banks, because the covers are generally just colorful blobs, but sometimes the title sells you out anyway. Then you get lectured on being a proper lady by strangers. I love that you're daring enough to address this topic, and I really like the library series as a whole. I haven't watched all of them yet... maybe I'm saving them for when I have a bad day and need a book. A recent Australian novel I loved was Fairytales for Wilde Girls by Allyse Near. I had to order it from overseas because it isn't licensed in the US! Edit: I forgot to say I love your hair! Is it flower crown compatible?

Idk if you purchase many books, but 'erotic fiction' has made every online book store unusable for normal readers as you have to sort through 200-300 pages of books with naked men on the covers no matter what genre, it sucks because it's all hack fiction too written by deranged lunatics who don't even know what spellcheck or an editor is, so it truly is just weird creepy fan fiction, which is what 50 Shades of Shit originally was, Twilight fanfiction. do you ever read erotica written for men and if so how does it differ from erotica written with women in mind? Or is erotica mostly a female thing using imagination which corresponds to female sexuality in ways to do with fantasy, layers of imagination, roleplay etc whilst men just prefer porn? It's a common misconception that men are 'visual' and women are more about story and imagination. Which is patently untrue! Just think about womankind's general obsession with fashion, makeup, art and food, and you can see how easily we are visually stimulated. But there is probably more erotica written FOR straight women because most erotica is written BY straight women. Porn is so incredibly aimed at straight men it's almost pointless for women to go looking there for fulfillment. Stories tend to explore the things we like in ways that the mainstream porn industry has no interest in doing. That being said, as a man you are most welcome to enjoy erotica written by and for women... perhaps you'll pick up a tip or two ;)
