Sure Andrew! I handle them only with gloves. They still tarnish... so then I clean them twice a year with Sabian cymbal cleaner, cut in half with water... diluted... one bottle of the cleaner, one bottle of water. This saves the logos!

All of the drums have an outer ply of bubinga, middle plies of maple and inner plies of African mahogany. The number of plies vary depending on the drum. For example, the kick drums are 1 ply of bubinga, 3 plies of maple and 6 plies of African mahogany.

+Paul Daluz Each brand has their own distinct sound... and they all sound great to me. I'm going back to Tama because I really like the sound and construction of Tama drums. Pearl has great shells and hardware too... but Tamas were my first serious kit, back in the early 80s, and I love the way their drums sound.
