I am a big advocate of phased approach. Companies need to continue their operation while carrying sych a transformative project. Going with smaller phases allows organizations to do both, and take some rest and stabiliation time in between phases. The most difficult however, is knowing where to cut the phases without falling in the "while at it..." trap.
