@@matthewfreeman33 JT has a much higher natural pitch than his screams would make you think. I'd imagine going between those screams and a higher register clean vocal is pretty fucking difficult dude. No need to throw shade on a very solid performance.

i love jesse and erra, huge fan. but it sounds like he is using some kind of pitch corrector. the chorus on gungrave sounds very synthetic

The first time i saw erra live they opened for abr and it reminded me that i had listend to them before. Fell in love that night seeing jesse handle those lead guitar and vocals at the same time was mind blowing.

Im pretty sure they did something on the vocals to make him sound like that, thats what bands do these days. Dont get me wrong Jesse is insanely talented but everytime I go to a show I noticed the post production in the clean vocals.

Yeah he has autotune for sure, I just have legit never heard his voice sound as consistant as this in a show before. When the autotune is working overtime you can tell, makes his voice kinda weird sounding and takes away the tone.@@ByronArens

I saw them twice last year and I'm hoping to double that this year. I wish Northlane would've brought this headline to North America. Erra + Northlane are two of my favorite bands Metalcore bands. They have improved so much over the years that they've reached a level that not a lot of bands can match. Nevertheless, I already have my tickets for both of them later this year.

What makes you say it's autotune? There were multiple moments that were not pitch perfect. Is Jesse not allowed to have a good night or something? He's clearly been practicing and getting better and better. I've been seeing multiple comments on here thinking he's doing autotune yet there are multiple moments in the show where he wasn't pitch perfect.

Dawg they did alex super wrong with the mixing. I have head him play without all the effects and triggers. His tone is very consistent and his hits are accurate and centered. I am not a big fan of all the sample and trigger stuff that takes place in the modern live metal scene. I much prefer the sound of natural drums. but thats just my opinion.

Alex doesn't use triggers live, at least he hasn't for a few years now and that's very apparent on Gungrave. Front of house just messed up hard

Did you guys notice he wasnt doing like any double bass like at all???? Scorpion hymn and gungrave have a ton of double bass and there is literally NONE. is it the mix not picking up the other drum or does he have a leg injury or something? It sounds so weird without the double bass
