Looks similar to 2 days ago from Dabrowski and Routliffe. First set went to the Italians. Next set, they fought back and won the second set tiebreak. In the match tiebreak, they saved a match point before securing their win. Here, this happened again. First set went rosy to the Italians. Next set, it became increasingly difficult and intense. Chan and Kudermetova stepped up their game, saved 2 match points from Paolini’s serve and won the tiebreak in the second set. To add on their advantage, Errani’s serve deteriorated severely and had to use her underarm serve. To make matters worse, she double faulted her underarm serve at 6-6 in the match tiebreak. Although the Italians managed to saved 3 match points, Chan and Kudermetova kept their focus and gets their win in the 4th match point at 11-9. It was a relief and joy for the number 7 seed pair. 😮‍💨 Heartbreak and disappointment for the Italian golden pair of Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini. 💔😢
