Surprise, surprise! I just watched another OG video-who would’ve guessed right? When we truly encounter surprise, we might find ourselves surprised by what surprise actually is. The challenge of dealing with surprise is indeed challenging. I agree that preparation is key, but the real question is: how can we best prepare for the unexpected? The non-rational dimension or the thematic dimension seems to be where we should start. It was a great Net session and thank you for this recap. It really helps thinking through these issues.

Beautiful, and you put it perfectly with 'the non-rational dimension or the thematic dimension seems to be where we should start.' - completely agree, which is to say we should DANCE DANCE DANCE DANCE.

This is very convergent with questions I've had around active inference (Free energy principle) and the question of curiosity. There can be no learning without surprise.
