Jeez,I was only a baby when this song was released,but when it popped up on Facebook a coupla nights ago I knew every word!!Maybe from watching British TV-especially "Heartbeat"-cause my parents never played any cool music,just crappy old 50s stuff.😢 WAY COOL!!😂❤

The stomping effect was enhanced by having the members of the group stamp their feet on the wooden stairs to the studio. The sound was recorded with five microphones fixed to the banisters with bicycle clips.

Since I found this I have watched it at least a dozen times. Great production values in this extended version. I would think all the Honeycombs would really enjoy this as much as they look like they are enjoying making it. Nicely done Stephen.

This is still so fresh. It was a promotion, made before the song became a hit. They were new and you can tell how happy and eager they were and all so young. I don't think anyone was older than 20, 21.

I’ll keep saying it as long as I take a breath in my heart my ears this what music 🎶 was I could listen to all this music 🎶 every day at least you can understand the words and the music 🎶 was absolutely amazing I believe I was born to late I was one year old when this song 🎶 came out 1963 but I love ❤️ this song 🎶 if time travel was possible I would go back and stay in the 60’s the Magical time as with songs these days you need some on to translate the songs lol 😜 but I love KZbin as you can revisit over and over these magical songs thank you for sharing

Met the colonel too who supported Joe meek as a financier. , when I was a taxi driver , helped him. , travel between places , he. Told me how the beginning of the hit Telstar came about with the feedback intro. All by accident , so they kept it in the recording ,

I remember them well , another group at the time which was novel too was the Applejacks. The searchers were brilliant then. , remember those days. , seeing the searchers one day at surprise concert for children. , at Romford odeon. Cinema. ,went to see a Saturday film. Got the group instead. The manager came out said film cancelled but got a show for you all ,, those were the days , I. Sang later in my life. Doing all the old songs. Until I became disabled , but. That's life. , love the old songs. Met this guys daughter too , years later when I was singing , the lead singer of the honeycombs , strange co incidence. And met many people in the industry. , fantastic era of Joe meek a visionary. Met the tornadoes too , years ago when they is ed to rehearse in collier row. At one grandmothers bungalow , lovely days. , Telstar tornadoes. , Billy fury. Etc. ,
