Ink and Drink not only has that sweet old school jam flavor when little cliques and regional books would do stuff like this in the 80s during the black and white boom but as many insanely talented people doing art as well - Erwin is a serious boon to the industry and I'm always stoked to see when he's working on something new

52:50 - the art is so different from Eastman/Laird but also so simular if you took 1/3rd of the artwork from their original stories and replaced it with some of this art you would think they just decided to give the book a few different design looks, with it still being them, but if you told them it was a 3rd artist you can than start to see the differences and see it was just another artist adding to the books.

It's actually a Spider-man panel that mcfarlane loved and later swipes for his famous Spider-man 1 pose with the weird hand. It looks a LOT like Miller DD as that was one of the major influences on TMNT but pretty sure it's from there not DD

@hatednyc yeah they're over priced and rare at this point. Had a ton of them back in the day but my collection got stolen and never manages to replace em. I'm just glad I started picking issues up out of the dollar bins before those last issue started going crazy haha
