In order to fully appreciate this performance, I had to go back and listen to each song individually when Erykah first recorded them. Finally I was able to appreciate the progression to this performance. She truly is an icon for hip hop, and this is a jazz fest, because Erykah's talent transcends genres. Thank you Paulie for showing me this 9 Years ago, and explaining some of the background, so I could gain a greater appreciation. 💞
