You say that like he's recently been doing something new. He's worked with vocal coaches on and off for over a decade. Lol. He improved his vocals a long time ago. It was motivated buy his vocal issues and fear of never being able to sing again back before From Death to Destiny. You could hear his evolution with every record from AA, his solo stuff, and We Are Harlot. He's also posted many acoustic piano covers on his Instagram over the years. The guy can still sing, but if I'm being completely honest, I'd say he's actually not sounding as good now as he was within the past few years before he started putting some weight back on. Which adds up because when you aren't taking care of yourself it can have an impact in your voice and vocal stamina.
