I had it on amiga. Wasn't a bad game. It had some other types of weapons, enemies, bosses and quick time events besides the basic punching and pistol shooting in the clip. I'd put in the top 3 robocop games easily.

It does, especially if they find the right balance between a fun experience and a having a fan service without getting to cynical levles. Terminator Resistance does it brilliantly, so I hope the lessons learned there carry over.

Just came back from Rogue City. Surprisingly, an amazing game. Total Fan Service. I played the NES version a lot when I was a kid. I never liked how RoboCop had punching as his default weapon. Ironically, every other RoboCop game I _didn't_ play had him with a gun the whole time lol. Until RoboCop Vs Terminator-Gen, that game blew my mind. Man, how time flies.

That cancelled Robocop on PS1 intrigues me. I want to know more about it! I knew that Robocop vs the Terminator got an unreleased NES game but had no idea one was in development for the PS1. I remember playing Robocop game in the early nineties on Nintendo. It is not included in your film. I remember that you could collect the letters: alpha, beta or gamma. Three collected letters gave you certain weapon. I think there were 5 levels to choose from and after gping through them you went to the final level. Do you remember such a game?

There was also RoboCop for the Tandy CoCo 3 computers released in 1989, which is based on the NES version (its prototype, to be specific). Interesting that you decided to include the unofficial RoboCop 2D games to this list, but leave out the third one. Speaking of unofficial games, there's also a Korean bootleg RoboCop game for the MSX computers.

The first one is intriguing, and ahhhhh, that iconic music playing ! The second game, nes, I had that one, it was fun but so hard! I'm not a fan of the new because most games were hard, arcady "keep going until you die and go for high score" style games rather than games designed to play through and complete, but for a game of the time, I loved it, the only other game I truly liked for the nes was mario 3. That FPS RoboCop game for PS2 looked good, and a later 2d one with reflections in the windows, looked good too.

New Robocop game lacks bunch of sounds - backround noise of hydraulics, motors, servos, when player changes lookview, switching weapons, moves, etc. Thats includes Robocop and his robot enemies, like ED-209 or CAIN. Just footsteps are not enough.
