I love those moments with Dorian in her cell, with that beautiful music. Wonderful stuff. A real array of characters and emotions in these clips. I didn't know Valerie Pettiford was still there at this time. I love the Hank/Bo/Nora/Sheila friendships from that time. Viki's reaction to the warrant on Dorian is very Niki/Tommy.

In honor of the 40th Anni. i just found out a VERRRY interesting Victor Lord tidbit! In an interview, Erika Slezak, said "Ernest Graves would be turning over in his grave if he found out what they did to his character"... BUT... I just found out that Ernest Graves played villain Alex Bowden from 1960- 66 on Guiding Light, a character described as having a "fondness" for young girls and married a young character. Hired as the first Victor, and "Sybil" was molested in the movie... SHOCKER!

Ty, I always wondered how Ernest Graves would reacted to the destruction of his Victor Lord carichater, to me Ernest Graves was the ONLY Victor Lord I Hope somewhere the episodes w/ Ernest Graves and GIllian Spencer and Trish Van Devere have survived

Great stuff! Great writing and great acting. Alas, OLTL lacks both these days. They seem to be writing for 14 yr olds (dumb ones at that). Only 2-Todds good storyline.

The show was on fire during this time, despite what some of the cast felt about Linda Gottlieb. (Erika Slezak herself said she wasn’t the best for the show). Such a good mix of veterans and newbies. strong families. And an overarching umbrella story that drew on history without retconning the murder of victor much. I did have to laugh though...WHY WAS BLAIR IN THE HOLDING CELL WITH BLAIR!?!

Yea erika def did not like linda & that's odd bc the show won the most Emmys in one year ever in 94 for the 93 story under her. Usually only erika won its pitiful how few Emmys were awarded to oltl. It's like it was the red headed step child of the abc soaps when imo it's the best with the best acting best writing from anytime I've watched in time. Under Gottlieb oltl won 3 acting emmys for the gang rape story. Plus best writing. I think the cast was jealous of the younger people jdp admitted he was very jealous of roger howarth & he realized that bo was the lead than he as max in the late 80s was the lead & than todd. He said it was very difficult for him to accept his time was up.

Linda Gottlieb backburned the vets or fired them. The show was too obsessed with Todd and turning the show into Sybil.

@CarlD2 Stephanie E. Williams debuted as Sheila at the Llanview University graduation party in June 1994. I don't really mind her, but I like Valerie Pettiford in the role better. I would have liked to have seen how VP's Sheila dealt with RJ Gannon. I don't know why, but I just think the chemistry between VP and Timothy Stickney would have been off the charts. That might have made for a REAL Hank/Sheila/RJ triangle.

so victor lord had an std, that explains the heart problems victor would have been 59 when he died. A tad bit young for so many heartattacks but the std would have explained it.
