I visited Ibiza back in August 2008 and stayed in Sant Antoni de Portmany on the island's west coast. One day we rented a car and started driving south with no real destination and at one point we saw Es Vedra to our right and decided to get a closer look. We ended up finding the beach at Cala de Hort and spent the day there swimming and marveling at this monolithic island just offshore. My girlfriend at the time even remarked that the iris of my eyes had changed from brown to a dark green. There was something very magnetic about that spot. I wasn't aware of this record at that point but it could've easily been a soundtrack for that day. I'm hoping to get back there next summer to explore that area further.

Honestly, if it weren't for Tiesto's ISOS series, this style of progressive house/trance (Deadmau5, Adam K & Soha, Glenn Morrison, Morgan Page, etc) might not have broken into the mainstream.

Hey all you lovers of this track out there, check out my remake of this chord sound: Glenn Morrison / Deadmau5 - Contact (Remake by UGN) It´s not about remaking the whole track, it´s about getting as close as possible to that unique chord sound of Glenn Morrison/Deadmau5! Check out my sound and comment it!

@marwanalmatari64437 жыл бұрын
Ahhh super confused now...so who made the song? Tiesto? Morrison? Mau5?
@domonkasshu91497 жыл бұрын
@Marwan Almatari: This song is a “mash-up.” Two different songs, that are blended into one. The first two minutes or so is the artist Es Vedrá “La Hacienda,” then at 2:27 it drops into Glen Morrison’s “Contact.” Contact is often mistaken for a deadmau5 song, but Joel Zimmerman had nothing to do with that song, despite the uncanny artistic similarity. Where Tiësto comes in, is how the two song are melded into one. The Search of Sunrise compilations are Tiësto making a playlist. The songs featured are produced by other artists. All Tiësto ever did was put them into a comprehensive playlist for others to listen. Despite this, Tiësto has remixed a good number of the songs that are featured in these albums, up until Richard Durand took over the legacy in In Search of Sunrise 8 South Africa, I believe.

@domonkasshu91497 жыл бұрын
@lord fiction: Tiësto is a sought-after artist. His notoriety is his asset. If you were offered thousands, if not millions of dollars to play a “commercial sound,” wouldn’t you do it? You could easily feed your family, pay your house and car payments, and then have money left over. Doesn’t that make sense? Really try to put yourself in that position. He’s already doing what he loves and makes a ton of money doing it. Isn’t that the best thing a person could ever aspire to do? Sticking to a particular “sound/genre” is silly when people are willing to throw money at you for doing that you’re already good at. What do you think?
