I bought this game at release. Just started playing and man it’s good. Usually I don’t feel like completing sidequest and focus only on the story but this game makes me feel like I want to do them.

the sidequests make the story so much better, especially during the endgame. they give you so much more insight into the world and alot of them have really good stories by themselves. and also be sure to do all the hunts as they offer some cool enemies and loot thats necessary to get the best gear in the game.

the combat is awsome, i get the criticism people have but i really enjoy hte combat and ima 100% it and play it 3 times so i can get the OG accessories and the upgraded accessories and wear both at once

@@servusveroreally enjoyed the game but I got burnout near the end and really just wanted to finish it mainly due to the huge number of side quests they give out

@@nnightkingj i 100% zelda breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom, now that game burns you out so i think 100% ff16 wont be so bad especially with all the changes they made to the quests and stuff

As someone who completed all the sidequests in the game I'm not sure how to feel. They add to the world and lore, but there is so much yapping and fancy-talking and t-posing and fading to black while some ASMR sound is playing that it becomes annoying after 20 or so quests. And many quests are MMO level of writing: "go to this spot on the map and gather 3 flowers" or "go here and kill this monster" and often there is no some plot twist or something unexpected. Currently replaying Witcher 3 after 7 years and sidequests blow this games side quests out of the water.

I VERY distinctly remember petting Torgal for the first time in the Greatwoods dungeon. It should be possible in all dungeons. I don’t know why he wasn’t cooperating in the Apodytery.

@@servusvero Why? Most of the time it makes a lot of sense. Depends on how the world came to be in that game. For example here Ultima set the seeds for humans to be born but they strayed from the path he thought for them, being something completely different, ending up for Mythos to be a sort of.. minor Deity, while Ultima is the actual deity, it really fits Gnosticism as a concept.

Huh. So the staff who worked on FF16 are totally fine with the opening sequence being a direct rip off of the opening sequence of the second Lord of the Rings movie. They must be getting lazy.

Yeah, the "umm" and "aah" every 2 and half syllables were annoying. The gameplay was fine, but the dude was making mistakes where I don't think I've ever seen them before.
