*watches Xcom speedrun to see how they handle the combat* Speedrun: what combat?

Also Speedrun: cover? we don't need that! its cool to see how easily the game can be broken, but yeah it is rather dull to watch.

Just the speed runner here! If you're curious otherwise you can always check out the 4 hour no save abuse catagory :) I understand it can be dull to watch but it's still pretty intense to play so I enjoy it still. Thank you none the less

@@Tricrow321 It's still amazing, from a technical viewpoint. I mean, I'm used to having my childhood challenges ridiculed by now. Still, I wonder, is there a *_Long War 2, no save abuse category_* and, if so, _*is the world record under 24 hours of actual play time*_?

I don't understand why so many xcom players hate the background dialogue. It's interesting, adds some depth to the characters and lore, and you can just ignore it. Half the time I accidentally cut people off by going into a menu and skipping their lines

I had to deal with the 2 sectopods before, it was my first ever winning game, I lost so many soldiers, in warden armor.

I accidentally found a glitch on console where constantly loading the same turn a good few times after a few friendly actions would have the enemies literally do nothing, shoot Archons, no battle frenzy, shoot berserker, no enraging, even get spotted they don't move whatsoever, basically, it is player only in every aspect.

is his game bugged? he doesnt seem to be attacked even while standing in the open... (that gatekeeper just watched him for 3 turns)... When i get hit behind full cover ^^

He explained it at the start: quicksave during your last action in a turn, quickload right away and you skip the enemy turn.

Thx, must have skipped that ^^. Shame, i dont like that kind of glitch exploit for a speed run of this kind of game, i dont see the point.

DnD reference for AC to avoid being hit. Actually damage reduction.
@Tricrow3215 жыл бұрын
Well more so much talking about 5E rules. Having armour on increasing your AC by say +1 compared to straight reducing the damage taken. I know it works differently depending on the system though ;)
@robmarney5 жыл бұрын
I think he's talking about the Gatekeeper's natural Dodge, which works like AC in 5E.
@fovarberma7525 жыл бұрын
@@robmarney 1:05:10 He says the Gatekeeper's armor provide a higher "defense". Armor doesn't help to dodge in XCom2, the added defense comes from the fact it is a flying unit like the archon, or from better reaction time like the higher classes of infantry, mutons, etc. It's more like a dodge bonus to AC, like a Dex modifier. Besides, an armor being harder in DnD 5e doesn't increase AC. If you look at Adamantine, it negates critical hits. I'd say AC goes up the less openings the armor has, but the game ain't that consistent having Scale Mail and Breastplate with the same AC despite having only the former covering the legs. As an aside, *DnD is shit.* If we go with, say, Dream Pod 9's Silhouette system, the Gatekeeper would have a higher dodge skill making it harder to hit and better armor, making most attacks much less effective. EDIT: Why does KZbin doubles my spacing, I'll never know.
