She had some in-ear issues so they decided to use the studio vocals in the video, but she is very good live so not worried about that. It’s one of my favorites this year, has been on repeat since it came out. Staging can improve but I think the lighting should continue, it’s very effective

Well, she was not good live at the national finals, and she had two attempts.
@jazzerhazzer51427 ай бұрын
@@Christian-wm5bq Because, as the comment stated above, she had problems with her in ears, and during the show you can't just fix those if they are installed incorrectly, cause you need to sing and hear how it sounds to be able to adjust them. That's one of the reasons why rehearsals are a thing. And come on, she was not in any way awful live, despite those technical problems.

So she sang live in the show (and was good, not perfect tho) but the broadcaster decided to put the studio vocal track on top of the video god knows why so you are not actually hearing her live 😐 I like the song but it’s very safe and I’m not sure how it will go in May

She was very medicore live. Voice was not on point and also lack of charisma. At least the song is nice(but not strong.)

100% Scandinavian-style earworm pop song that is catchy. I think she will definitely qualify for the finale - which is a welcome change for Denmark in the last few years. I could actually see a Top 10 finish but I am not sure if it will win.

To start off with, the guy in this video is handsome. Now thats out of the way, i started by totally not getting this song. It initially struck me as another pop song. Then after so many countries released their efforts, i stumbled back across it again and decided to give it another go, and my perception changed. I suppose in the context of measuring it against the breadth of what is now on offer, i appreciate it so much more than i did when i first heard it a few months ago. In an ocean of madness and fast paced pop/dance songs, this one now really speaks to me and im really enjoying it.

Denmark here.. Saba and her likewise talented twin sister Andrea were both adopted from Ethiopia by a Danish family when they were small children. Her more famous twin sister had the lead role as Whitney Houston in a musical, and for comparison you can find her here on YT by looking up : The Bodyguard - I Will Always Love You - Danish National Symphony Orchestra

This is NOT a live vocal. Supposedly there was some technical glitch that made them dub the vocal on the released video. I can tell you that her vocal was quite shaky in places on the night, especially in the lower parts (possibly nerves though?), so I would not count on it sounding exactly like this. But she wasn’t terrible either. The song is nice, catchy (for me it’s the uuh-uuuuh’s) and very Scandi. Do not care for the repeated sand, sand, sand… but I enjoy the beat of the song. It does lack a bit of personality though. It is partially Swedish penned and it shows for better or worse. We could qualify since we’re in the easier semi - but if we do, we won’t shake anyone’s world there. We’ve had worse, we’ve had better. At least the actual show was miles better than last year’s toe cringing and embarrassing affair. That was painful to watch. Like a really slow car crash. So they really turned it around. I especially enjoyed Stéphanie Surrugue hosting. Normally I don’t care for hosts who don’t have a connection to Eurovision but she was such a pro and can apparently do anything.

She seems very talented, but I feel like this song is holding her back. The rhythm is very straight, and I can hear her trying to add color/syncopation, but the song is fighting her. It's alright, but just kind of rigid until the very end.

DMGP wasn't really flying high as far as quality is concerned this year so, this at least was one of the better options they had. I feel like UBLU's Planetary Hearts would've been a bit better to go with but that's personal taste preference more than anything.

As several others written she did not do as well at the live version and she sang the song twice and both times she was false more than one time. So hopefully it’s much better at the Eurovision. It’s an okay song but nothing special. Again Denmark fails Eurovision and the Danish Eurovision was one bad song after another.
