This is one is a rare OST to find. Thank you for uploading this! There was this battle theme in episode 11 where Van and Hitomi chases after the Doppleganger, but ended up fighting the Dragonslayers. I don't know the title of that OST...

THANK YOU! Yes, this track is really hard to find, especially with a good sound quality. It's been almost a year since I found it on Yt, and the video was deleted shortly after. It comes from a Deluxe edition, so I suppose it's watched more closely than the other soundtracks. Hope this one stays on longer than the previous one!

Ha ha, same here, it's one of my favorite. There's another track I really love and can't find anywhere, I don't even know its name thus (which is very frustrating). It's a track we here when the Escaflowne is flying, but it's not the one called "flying dragon". It's mainly male choir with a kind of drum on the background. See the one I'm talking about?

The scene this track is used for is so much more benign than what I envision in my head to accompany this. At the very start visualize a large cathedral in a rural village on a full moon night. All the pews have been set aside and in the very center is a large detailed double pentagram drawn in blood. As the music builds, a group of hooded figures shifts through the darkness around the pentagram sporadically illuminated by tesla coils they've erected for the ritual. As they chant the room slowly gains a reddish glow as the blood on the floor begins to boil. Just as the chorus reaches it's apex the floor inside the pentragram becomes mirror like as another hooded figure slowly rises out of it with a negative light aura. Right as the chorus shifts downwards the glow from the ritual ceases, the figure in the center wades through the darkness and lights a candle. All of the chanters are gone except for their robes still in formation on the floor. The pentagram has disappeared as well. The singular hooded figure creeps out of the cathedral and into the village. As the figure stalks through the village all sounds stop including insects. Just as the chorus finally comes to the end the figure slips into an alleyway and his face is illuminated by the now red eclipsed moon for a brief moment only to reveal his face is even more scarlet yet flawless. He smirks as the light fades from his face, and he vanishes into the shadows. TL;DR: I can only ever think of a detailed Satanic summoning ritual with this song.

I knew he had to be older than her due to piecing it all together with how many years ago itv was with him having a whole kid with Millerna's sister, then years later Millerna is a grown woman now. Then there's Dryden. Who was definitely an adult. Wow. It never dawned on me how old everyone was when compared to Van and Hitomi (and Merle.) O.o Like wow I never thought about their ages...

Few years late, sure, but I'll answer you question. The language is "Gaian" a Latin, Japanese, and Germanic influenced made up language for the show, it can be heard in the Japanese dub of the first episode when Van yells at Amano and in other audio tracks from the show as well as a more developed form in the track "Sora" for the movie.
