I saw this film when I was about seven. And I was really sad that Cornelius and Zira were killed. I really love Armando, portrayed by Ricardo Mantalban. He was a man of great compassion and greater courage. It was very easy why Cornelius and Zira liked him. The part at the end where baby Milo cries “Mama” was so sad. This was also actress Natalie Trundy’s second appearance in the Apes film series.

Armando is the best, this movie goes from fun and happy to very dark and sad in a short while.

I was watching a documentary about chimpanzees on netflix and it made me think about this franchise. Its scary how smart (and violent) they are. Fiercely territorial
