His Majesty's Tenth Regiment of Foot in America is a historically re-created infantry unit formed to portray the service of the British Army during the American War for Independence.
Composed of three types of soldier, Grenadiers-typically larger men who are used as shock troops, a company of Light infantry, generally smaller, more agile men--capable of maneuvering in the dense wilderness to skirmish or flank the enemy, and a battalion company--a company of regular soldiers, capable of mass volleys and were the heart of the army and are trained in both Grenadier and Light Infantry tactics. We also have a company of Music, who provide music and commands to the army. Last but certainly not least, a Corps of Civilian Volunteers--who provide food to the regiment during encampments and accurately portray civilian and camp life of the 18th century. Each is open for recruitment. The members of the Tenth are accurately uniformed, equipped, and trained in 18th-century military drill and life so that we appear in public as members of the British Army would have in 1775. Is it possible for minors (15 year olds) to get involved in any way at all? It probably wouldn't be allowed for them to fully reenact, but is there anything a teenager could do? @HM10thFoot

commemorate american independence, with enemy-british regiment? *confused*

To commemorate a conflict works best with both sides. And the Americans have significantly more members, having as many redcoats as Americans better immersify’s the overall experience for the Americans, redcoats, and spectators involved

Expanding on the earlier comment, we believe it's vital to depict the lives of those who opposed our forefathers. They played a significant role in our nation's history, and authentically representing these "opponents" allows us to educate and provide insights into the formidable and versatile nature of the challenges the colonists faced. We hope this perspective adds value and that you found the video engaging!

Where's all the equipment come from? Looking at a couple thousands of dollars just to join in.

Hi there, we have a system of regiment-owned equipment, tailors and used clothing and muskets that make joining the 10th more affordable than starting from scratch. Including a musket, you would be looking at around 1,500 for a full kit. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

All reenactment groups I know of lend you everything you need to reenact. That allows you to buy things one piece at a time over a long period.
