Welcome back Ed & Tomo. Yes, enjoying the videos very much. It’s been an inspiration that’s given us meaning to moving to Koh Samui once we complete our business in the USA. I can certainly relate to the on-screen comments, they were spot on my friend, including skepticism you might be feeling. The large leaves on top looked like avocado leaves, couldn't get a good look at the smaller ones below them. All the best to the both of you.

Hi Guys,good to see your eye is looking better Ed. I can't believe the police can't find that farang.Tell me is that a New Zealand tee shirt to have on ? Nice to see you take your dogs with you when you take a trip.We have a Thai dog Bang Keaw that is perfect in the home but not when we walk with him and he is not good in the car.We both love dogs and we feed some on the street.

As a retiree in Thailand I always feel lucky to be here. When I need mental stimulation I visit the national parks like Khaeng Krachan and get absorbed by the amazing wildlife where you see a new spectacular bird or animal on every trip. Or I visit the ancient historical towns like Ayutthaya and learn about the incredible history. And like you do food trips. Koh Samui was great for me for a beach holiday and a relaxed way of life. Thailand does seem to have something for everybody.

I enjoy watching your content as a consumer but it’s more important you enjoy doing it. Hi Gerrard, Samui has so much going for it and we sing its praises frequently. The main downside is the congestion and road safety. I’ve read that 3 people die each day as a result (though I’ve yet to find a source to confirm that). The traffic sucks! The other plus/minus is that it’s designed for tourists and westerners. I’ve heard a number of long term residents say “Samui isn’t Thailand” and I think that’s a true statement. Thanks for your comment and best of luck with your project!

@@edandtomo no argument on either point - agree 100% re the road safety and the lack of care shown by thai and tourist motorbike drivers in particular can be frightening at times. Also yes the level of tourists and Samui is very geared up for that. I also spend time in rural Thailand and after a while I do miss some of the western comforts so find Samui offers these with beautiful beaches and scenery but also a good base from where to explore. All an adventure after all and I hope you find what you’re looking for 🙏🏻
