Catalina, I am so happy for you and your family. Just to have your own room will help your peace of mind, not that you don't want to be with your parents but everybody needs their privacy at times. I am still amazed how you can crochet after loosing your sight, your work continues to be beautiful. I heard you mention that you were on the pill at the time of your stroke -- do you think this could have been the cause? It is a well-known cause of strokes in young women, who are not normally prone to them and not normally because of stress; that's something that tends to hit older people (men and women). I know of a lady over here in the UK, named Sarah Scott, who had a stroke at age 18 and it left her with severe aphasia (meaning inability to speak, because she cannot find the words she wants even though she knows what she means) -- she's got better over the years and can work now and has a partner, but still has problems and especially with counting (you can follow her on Twitter or on KZbin). Her stroke was also linked to being on the pill. I don't know if it's too late but you might like to look into that possibility because you could be eligible for compensation, either against the manufacturer or whoever prescribed it. Strokes are not caused by trying too hard or crying too hard; they're physical not psychosomatic.

Hi, Matthew. Thank you for the tip. However, it is not my case. My stroke was mostly a result of an emotional shock with deep roots in my childhood, which is something that traditional medicine was not willing to accept at that time in 2013. As far as the doctors are concerned, the main cause of the stroke is unknown.
