Funny isn't it that you can 'see' something many times but then one more time and you see what it might be. In this case my eyes are taken by the spiral created in the 'leading hand. Spirals are almost impossible to stop. Something else occurs to me, when nage's hand becomes free nage has already gripped uke's wrist with the other hand. It is possible that although uke is no longer gripping, that being gripped gives the feeling that they have not lost control. Both things I mention here are 'faults' if you like in the human system. One - we can't stop a spiral. two - we can believe we are in control ... when we are not. Thanks for the inspiration.
