😂. It’s seeing DH bikes at Degla that makes me realise how rad sick Gnar it is. Nothing says hardcore as much as pushing a 40lb bike with triple crown forks and 200mm of travel two miles up a fireroad, clad head to toe in body armour, to ride a flow trail that wouldn’t really be that testing on a cyclo cross bike 😂

Mate, it's awesome. You do put the miles and climbs in but totally worth it. Gets a bit boggy in places in mid winter but not to the point where it's unrideable. I'm just not a fan of Degla (as is blatantly clear in the video 😃)
@itsmrjc23934 жыл бұрын
@@Stopadoodledoo found a couple of "World's End" GPX routes that start out from the trail centre, 20 milesish. Worth chancing one of those or better to look for a route out of Llangollen?

You do get a couple of the nice descents in by breaking out of Degla but it misses out the last one in this. I guess you get to do all of Degla too though, if that takes your fancy. I once did the loop in this video and a full loop of Degla; it was 28 miles and 4800' of climbing. I was knackered 😃

Hi, I’m new to mtb. I’ve been to Delamere a few times and degla. Can you tell me how you get to this place? Where do you park? Cheers Mike
@Stopadoodledoo4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike. I parked in a lay-by on the road between Trevor and Llangollen, then rode up the Panorama (which you could also park on to avoid a climb). The first and last descents in the video both have pretty technical sections on them, way beyond what you would find at Delamere or in Degla. Another way to take in chunks of this would be to park at Degla and then cut off the Three Mile Climb at the Offas Dyke path, then turn right and follow the fence up towards the masts.

Trouble with Llandegla is that you're not really rewarded with all the climbs 🙄 Marin Trail is a lot better as you can take the purple run which is all the best downhill bits after the climb.
@Stopadoodledoo3 жыл бұрын
I agree with you there Richard. I am not a fan of trail centres but must admit that I do like the Marin. I know some bemoan the fireroad climbs there but to me, it gets the climbing out of the way, with the descents paying dividends. Degla... nope.
@richardjones28113 жыл бұрын
@@Stopadoodledoo Yeah that initial fire road climb at Marin is a bit of a bore but got to get the cardio somewhere 👍.
