For those of you that feel down and out, routine is key. Take care of yourself, take care of the space around you. Depression can be helped with meds, but by no means does it cure it, it just stabilizes you (a good thing, don’t ever feel like medicine is a crutch.) Sleep on a schedule and stick to the routine, keep up on your hygiene (at least a shower every other day, brush your teeth at least in the mornings and at night, use deodorant), clean up the space around you (if you have a hard time with this, dedicate an entire weekend to it to start off with, or separate out areas you want to clean and keep up with it daily, then pick up your messes as you make them. Go through your things once a season and make sure there isn’t anything that you want to get rid of or you don’t need.) Pick up a hobby (cooking, weight lifting, learning a language, reading, dancing, anything really. Treat video games like a pastime not a hobby.) Basically, follow a routine, eat healthy, treat your body well, and take care of yourself. Some of these things may feel overwhelming when read as a whole, but these are just steps on a goal post to work towards, because your life is always at a constant state of improvement. Every day you’re learning something new, and you’re never exactly the same as you were yesterday.

I didn't expect the last part. Kinda had me thinking... One of the things that have helped me the most to know my place and respect is to remember that I'm just a human, and like a human I'm an animal. I have to take care of myself, because noone else is going to do it for me. I have to sleep, I have to hydrate, I have to clean myself, I have to eat, to breath, I have to provide/work/hunt/gather, I have to tell my body iis alive everyday somehow. Doing exercise, do what I want, do what I have to do. It really helps to understand how priorities work, and start building our habits, our foundations, our practices. Seeing through the hard stuff.... is about being constant. All sorts of obstacles, of pure bulshit.... come in and out of life. It's a constant work. Just breathe in deep , relax.... and deal with it. Thanks for the heads-up Truco. Stay strong.
