This would be expensive to recreate, but it could be done. The furnishings are easy and you could source most of it from goodwill. The display panels would be a bit more expensive but most are small enough that you could do it with a monitor under $100 each. The actual displays would need to be run from a computer and depending on the rig you could run quite a few off of a single machine especially since most are just a static display with an unchanging image. The windows would require much larger monitors and that would get expensive. To really sell the experience you want them 3d and that really pushes the price tag up. Beyond that, id mount some subwoofers under the floor to emulate ship’s engine and away you go!

@@TriggaHappy00121213 as long as we look out for asteroids as well as manage Earth’s resources for the long run and of course avoding nuking each continet back to the stone age it will eventually become a reality. Sadly far to little of our resources are spent on science and research compared to a lot of other short term stuff but hopefully that will change at some point before our little sun swallows us. The fact that a lot of our space related goals and plans are funded by rich individuals rather than countries, leaders and humanity as a whole is a little discouraging… But massive respect for the rich that use some of their wealth for the future of humanity rather than only cars, houses and luxury.
