We sold our house and began our full time adventure about 3 1/2 months ago. We’re also in TX for a couple of months. Best of luck selling your home. It looks beautiful, and I’m sure it will be perfect for the right family! We can totally relate to the house remodel tasks, the trips to donate things, and the cluttered RV. It DOES get better. Now I’m working on RV projects, but I haven’t had to mow the lawn in months! Safe travels!

We made the decision to go full time a little over a year ago and will not be full time until next fall, so it will be a total of 2 years from decision to depart. It feels like forever but it will pass. We are less than one year out now and very excited.

Really enjoying your Video. My husband and I just travelled from Cobourg, Ont. Canada, in our CLASS A Thor Astoria. It was a beautiful journey. Chilly some nights as weather got cold which caused us to scurry a bit quicker to get farther south. We arrived in Spring Texas and are enjoying family time with our son and his family. Anchored until January then heading to Arizona. (Warmer still) The weather decided to drop its temperatures here as well. Appreciated seeing that carry strap for the battery, very helpful as those batteries are so heavy. Thanks, looking forward to following you on your journey! Congratulations on full timing!

When you switched out your batteries hopefully you sprayed the terminals with a corrosion protector. It will help keep the corrosion from happening quickly and prolong battery life.

Hey! Thanks! We’ve been in a few pretty decent storms. The worst part for us is the wind. Depending on wind direction and speed, it sometimes will rock the RV a little bit or cause the slide toppers (the fabric above our slides) to flap. When that gets too bad, we pull the slide in until the wind subsides. We always keep an eye on the weather so we know what to expect.

I noticed when you were backing your RV out of the storage facility that you have a Tiffin Breeze. Are you trying to say that now that you are full time, life is going to be a pleasant BREEZE? ! 😃 Also, I had to chuckle when I saw the treadle sewing machine topped with an antique typewriter in your S&B entryway because I have the same stuff at the top of the landing in our home. I make and design quilts as a hobby. Do you quilt Stacie, or were those family heirlooms? Yesterday we woke up to 8” of snow in Pennsylvania, picked up our five month old fifth wheel RV in Ohio, and put it in a storage facility similar to yours for the winter. Hi Jan & Jim! Lol! Yes, we are looking forward to life being a BREEZE! 😁 I’m sorry to say I have no talent for quilting, although Tom’s Mom has been quilting for many years and is amazing. Tom bought that typewriter at an estate sale in Iowa when he was 10 years old, and the sewing machine came from another estate sale. 2 of our favorite finds over the years! Sorry to hear it’s time for y’all to store for the winter. Hope spring comes early up your way! That’s definitely somthing we don’t have to worry about too much down here. Stay warm!
