We can see evidence of a profound change in the sructure of the society and economy in Scandinavian peninsula around the 7th century, i.e. around the time of the Prophet (peace be upoon him). It took a century or so for the take over of Scandinavia by the new elements, after which they begin the movement out to the neighbouring lands, thus starting the Viking Age.

I did think that Vikings were pagan and worshiped many gods. Like oden and such. I never really heard of them being atheist.

as salamu alaikum, studies show their were two groups (‘up north’), firstly Scanadanavia has red haired and apparently green eyes, and furthermore -higher up there were people with blond hair and blue eyes,... are these the two ‘kaum/ppls’ of Yajuj-wa-Majuj/ Gog and Magog or since history indicates the red haired bring more violent -had attacked the blond hair/blue eyed ppl...? It is also possible that one of the dajjal in prophets time Ibn Sayyad was from these lands since he too had red hair and green eyes. Lastly, i believe dajjal to be their ultimate king as they never had a ‘ruler’/supreme authority and since every Prophet warned about dajjal-do the rune inscription indicate these..? i also believe that the ‘cross/upside down cross’ is a symbol of death/beheading and that (they used to stake ppls heads on it)-this is how their leader -daj, whom they spread news about (in pop culture and encourage the masses to worship) will die-through beheading. This cross is their symbol and means death -they then attributed to jesus and mary ma’azAllah in a sense they have not yet launched nuclear war and thus that is their hope that death be upon all. That’s why the cross is on all the flags.. and that they now want to attack ppl of jannah after they attacked and conquered the ppl of the world/duniya by going east...(iraq/syria/arabs in general)
