When I first watched Shrek as a 5 years old, a tune Princess Fiona sung in the night solemnly was planted in my brain. The tune was so beautiful and it had stuck with me after all these years. I've very very seldom rewatched Shrek, but I still remember it clearly. It took me 2 seconds in that '1950-2019 all eurovision winners' video to recognise the original song of that tune. Was too good for 5-year-old me, still too good for 24-year-old me.

Then in the comments they said it was this song and he played that fragment because they're both Norwegian I think. Anyway, this song is very beautiful, thank god I found it.

That was when countries still send their best because it was a prestige competition. That was until it was usurp by EU-project and corrupted to glorify the potential new EU member-states, trying to give the winning positions to countries not based on merits or quality of performance, but because EU politicians needed a favorable sentiment on countries they were and wanted to add to the EU. Now even my country sends basically vague nobodies and I haven't seen a Eurovision since maybe early 2000's coz I stopped caring when politics got involved and the entire festival corrupted.

I went to Norway like 10 yrs ago to see the fjords.. The song perfectly fits the scenery!!!! Wish I can go back to this country and play this music while sailing in the fjords. but Damn Covid 19!!! God bless you beautiful Norway!!! -Greetings from South Korea

I still remember watching this performance with my family in 1995. I was 6 years old at the time and I couldn't appreciate it.. Too slow and boring for my younger self. Hits me differently as an adult. The instrumentals are absolutely beautiful and she's got the voice of an angel.

@fatihakkaya6508 Жыл бұрын
Hissettirdiği şey yaşamın çok ötesinde. Başından sonra bu hayattan soyutlanıyorsun her şey çok boş geliyor öyle bir sakinlik. Bu sadece bir müzik değil bu bir başyapıt

I heard this masterpiece more than 25 years ago in a belgian radio show called ATMOSPHÈRE. This music is from the sound of the land, the sound of the wind, the sound of the stars, the sound of a magical dream. This song is a therapy for the soul! Thank you Norway, love from Belgium ❤️

When I woke up at dawn this morning with the effect of a beautiful dream, Nocturn was the first piece that came to my mind. The melody of my soul accompanies me while I sleep. I've been listening to it countless times since morning. This is the song of Eternity. Many thanks to the composer and all those who contributed. Nocturn is whatever your soul needs. ♾❤

Once upon a time, the Eurovision Song Contest was a manifestation of MUSIC, and now it is a CIRCUS OF TASTE:

Totally agree with this! I think that the circus began it manifestation from 2014 onwards! It's a shame that '80s,'90 and '00s true artists will start to be forgotten as the time passes by!
