I watched this again last night and passed out listening to you talk about the tea! Your voice is so soothing and lovely. I hope to get further in the video tonight but we’ll see. I hope you’re well during this scary time! You deserve love and support and to be calm, like you calm all of us with your asmr. ❤️

The combination of relaxing music, your perfect whispering and the triggers at about the halfway point of the video have spoiled me. I can't fall asleep to any other asmr video. I think this is what I was trying to find as I was continuously trying new videos. Everything else is good for asmr triggers and relaxing but this is my go-to for sleep.

While my mind was floating in a sea of tranquility, thinking random thoughts, I was struck by the thought that perhaps it's not the best idea to be slathered from head to toe in oil while in a room full of open flame candles.
@yaboirhombus16936 жыл бұрын
Oh bet, you're right. That does seem risky in hindsight.
@hainekohanefuwa53086 жыл бұрын
Don't worry, you're perfectly safe. Lamp oil, like diesel, requires heating before it will combust. This is why lamps have wicks; the heat from the flame propagates back along the material and pre-heats the oil being drawn through it by capillary action. This is also why lighting lamps is not instant and usually (depending on the petroleum distillate in question) takes a period of exposure to flame.
@TheDarkNStormyKnight6 жыл бұрын
Who is being massaged by lamp oil? We aren't talking petroleum distillates here, but natural plant-based oils. We're not being massaged by diesel fuel or kerosene. [Esc] reality is into using natural aromatics and oils, like olive oil and such, for the massage, and if you recall your history (or culinary classes) olive oil burns easily. The more aromatic a liquid is, the lower the temperature is for it to evaporate and the lower its flashpoint. The reason the massage oils smell so good is because the aromatics in them are evaporating at body temperature, or lower. I used to work in a quality control lab at a chemical company, where we ran flashpoint tests on our products, so I know all about the various flashpoint of oils and aromatics. It doesn't take much for some things to catch fire when exposed to an open flame. Even if we were talking lamp oils, in my experience, it only takes a matter of a second or two to light an oil lamp with a match, no preheating the of the oil is involved. And wicks are used because they pass through a small opening in the vessel, preventing the flame from reaching the reservoir of oil. Try taking a wick and placing it in an open bowl of lamp oil, then lighting it. Better have a fire extinguisher standing by.
