We're quick to bash the EBU, but let's not forget it all stems from the Dutch contestant and his needless insubordination! Yeah, Israel's participation raises some questions, but the only way to contest that was to perform better and outshine them in the rankings. Something Joost failed to do.

Thought Luktelk was catchy when I first heard it until I liked some other entries more, with Doomsday Blue being my favorite. I remember reading up how he wanted to be in Eurovision one day. At first, he tried attending Junior Eurovision but he didn’t win and people made fun of him. Look at him now. He achieved his dream (Sadly, another person wanted to be in Eurovision too but it got fucked up. You should know who I’m referring to) Also, glad The Code won because it’s definitely better if Israel didn’t win this year. Plus, it so happens it’s my 2nd favorite song

Lithuania deserved better! And this Eurovision has been a shi*show. I've seen people hating on Nemo and their win, the whole Joost drama and the main talking point. One of the things that made me happy was seeing Phillip again for Austria. We love the guy with the Equality shirt, talking truthfully and I hope to see him for many more years!

Itm from Argentina so I don't have a horse in this race, but I can't believe what happened with, not only Joost, but Ireland and Switzerland. Bambie Thug and Nemo complained about awful comments from the Israeli press, and they then went and cut Joost out of the Finals...this was so SO sad. Btw Baby Lasagna feeling sad and thinking no one wanted to see him when he landed back on Croatia 😭 baby nooooo!

I think we're going to be seeing more national-language songs in the coming years. This year, the only national-language song that did NOT qualify was Australia. (I know Megara's song is not in English, but nor is it in the national language of San Marino). I think people want to see national-language songs, and I think countries are noticing that.

From what I understand, the only flags that were allowed were those of participating countries, and even then only when they were unedited in any way. Someone from the public tried to enter with a Dutch flag that had #JOOSTICE written on the white stripe, which was also not allowed. Similarly (and hilariously ironic); I've heard reports that the EU flag was also not allowed. Because, again, technically not a participating country. 🥴

Gåte was robbed, Baby Lasagna and Nemo would both have deserved the win, DONS had a beautiful voice and song and I never understood the dislike toward him, Marcus or Martinus and windows9man yelling along with Rim Tim Tagi Dim was great. Bambie Thug had a very unique song and I love their voice, Joost has such a fun personality and I would have liked to see them perform again. Here’s to a better, less negative-drama - filled Eurovision Song Contest next year. Only 51 more weeks to go!
