*comments on today’s rehearsals:* 🇲🇩 loved the LED concept but it looks too static, we shall see how it looks on the camera 🇮🇸 mother 🇦🇺 ngl I expected much more… I need that energy they always have!! I hope there’s gonna be way more energy on the semi final performance 🇦🇿 this looks good!! idk if I’m a huge fan of the whole grey theme but overall a nice staging for the song 🇫🇮 I’m sorry but I like this and I’m vibing haha 🇱🇺 the budget is ON definitely!! I like this, however this outfit could be changed imo 🇵🇹 MY BELOVED COUNTRY!! glad we kept the same concept, it seems to be working :) hope we will qualify 🇸🇮 UFF THIS MUST QUALIFY!! For me the best staging are Slovenia and Azerbeijan! Also Serbia I like.

I think they will qualify Poland and not qualify Serbia. If will be a surprise from Eirovision this could be the biggest surprise. Also Australia could qualify and Portugal could not. Well rehearsals of yesterday were far better than this year. Well, here is my top 15 (only with the staging bit the song): 15.🇲🇩: even if the LED are beautiful, the staging is as hollow as the song. Sorry Moldova but it still a nq for me. 14.🇮🇸: not that bad, very safe. Still not enough to get a higher place 13.🇨🇾 12.🇦🇺: as Iceland, it seems to be very safe but nit strong enough 11.🇫🇮: it's an upgraded version of their NF staging. I wasn't really a fan of it but still a good effort 10.🇱🇹 9.🇦🇿: a very pleasant surprise here (clearly better than last year for example). Maybe it needs more props but what à good effort from them. I still not sure that it will qualify, we'll see. 8.🇵🇱 7.🇱🇺: please, change this outfit!!!! This is the only thing I ask. For the rest, nothing to say: beautiful LED, interesting prop, good choreo. Well done Luxembourg. 6.🇺🇦 5.🇸🇮: it's unfortunately a bit to bright. Nevertheless, it looks very promising 4.🇵🇹: it's again the same staging as her NF performance but I always love it. 15th: Well, you don't know what life means. In fact, nobody knows. Everybody singing just for money, where's the pleasure? In fact just a single country have the ability to sing with such a pleasure and energy every year and show to everyone that it is better to be neutral and simple and always full of love. Hard to pick a favourite for today. Finland was probably the standout, although I would be more interested if it wasn’t just copy and pasted from UMK. But that’s on me, I guess. Azerbaijan was a pleasant surprise, I really like what they’re going for. I also liked the red colour scheme for Australia. Interested to see both of them again in second rehearsals. Ukraine is still my favourite though.

Time to end up the whole top 15 of the first semi with comments for the new songs! (based only on first rehearsals photos/clips): 1. Alyona Alyona & Jerry Heil - Teresa & Maria 🇺🇦 2. Raiven - Veronika 🇸🇮 | Comments: im honestly amazed by the artistry put in here, i just needed this performance to give me everything the music video had and they nailed it, raiven is absolutely stunning and the staging is one of the most risky here but is definetly beautifully done for me, that ending specially gives me chills, definetly the stand-out of the day!, hopefully this doesnt gets robbed and qualifies 🙏 3. Teya Dora - Ramonda 🇷🇸 4. Iolanda - Grito 🇵🇹 | Comments: not much to say here, absolutely loved this at the nf and here the same, the choreo of the song definetly bring live to it and iolanda as always with those stunning vocals, outfits look great and eveything well polished, it might have needed a little bit more to elevate it even more if we want to have more chances at qualifying, but this is rlly good too!, praying for our neighbours to qualify anyway, love this entry sm… 5. Silvester Belt - Luktelk 🇱🇹 6. Baby Lasagna - Rim Tim Tagi Dim 🇭🇷 7. Tali - Fighter 🇱🇺 | Comments: this is pretty much everything i needed from tali, overall a good package with nice vocals, choreo and staging, nothing too outstanding here but is quality and not too many flaws at all, must say i kinda preferred the outfit from the nf but is alright (edit: just heard is not her final outfit thank god, well all nice here then :)), luxembourg is coming for that final fairly strong!, gl tali! 8. Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue 🇮🇪 9. Windows95man - No Rules! 🇫🇮 | Comments: this is just iconic, the fun you have watching this, i mean, is just hilarious, such a vibe honestly, a little bit of a chaos and thats not rlly my thing but is a vibe, the pyro at the end is still so good i kinda love that, gl finland! 10. Luna - The Tower 🇵🇱 11. Silia Kapsis - Liar 🇨🇾 12. Fahree, Ilkin Dovlatov - Özünle Apar 🇦🇿 | Comments: idk about this, the visuals are cool most of the times but honestly the staging looks kinda empty for me, they have great vocals and the aesthetic is also pretty cool tho, but its just overall alright imo, gl anyway azerbaijan! 13. Electric Fields - One Milkali (One Blood) 🇦🇺 | Comments: ngl i expected more coming from australia and this is kinda underwhelming, staging is nice, i rlly like the didgeridoo on stage there looks fun with the vibes of electric fields all very brightful, but havent rlly seen potential to qualify in here for now, is also just alright but kinda weak overall, nevertheless, gl australia! 14. Natalia Barbu - In the Middle 🇲🇩 | Comments: i rlly liked the background images and the whole aesthetic they are coming for, but not her being just alone on stage and so static, the background seems to be dynamic with the rhythm and is alright, but kinda sad bc i do enjoy this song and i doubt a ton that this haves chances to qualify now imo, anyway natalia have fun and gl! 15. Hera Björk - Scared of Heights 🇮🇸 | Comments: mother came and mothered for the first seconds of the song and then just haved fun, love her sm but this is just well weak srry, a slightly elevated version of the nf staging who was well a staging, im sure shes enjoying the experience and that is what matters at the end of the day tho, much love to hera from here anyway 🫶 And thats a wrap for the first semi!, looking SO forward for tomorrow, marina and nemo about to conquer that stage and im so readyy, cyall next time!!
