A pretty average year, but with some amazing hosting. I have a really weird relationship with the winner this year. Before the contest, Ukraine was my least favourite song. Dead last. Behind the likes of San Marino and Montenegro. Then, during rehearsals and Eurovision week, Ukraine grew to be one of my favourites, and I loved it live. Now, after the contest, I've gone back to not really liking it that much. It's good, but I just don't know. Also, I haven't mentioned it yet, but I am really impressed with the designs for these videos. They all look pretty much identical to the actual contest.

Biggest takeaway that year was the high amount of English mainstream pop with very few ethnic entries. They all tried to pull another Heroes. Plus so many songs that year we’re written by Swedes.
